CHARLOTTE, NC - DECEMBER 06: Head coach Raheem Morris talks to Ronde Barber #20 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their game against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on December 6, 2009 in Charlotte, North Carolina. (Photo by Streeter Lecka/Getty Images)
It was reported that after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were blown out by the Atlanta Falcons 41-0, a member of the Bucs privately remarked “Can we send these coaches back to college?“ Ronde Barber is now firing back at the report by ProFootballTalk.com, saying that it's not true at all. "Somebody said what?'' he said, when told of the comment by The Tampa Tribune. "That's a (expletive) made-up quote. No one in this locker room said that. I can promise you that.'' Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk responded, assuring that yes, the quote is accurate."If Ronde is aware of every private communication in which his 52 teammates engage, that's even more impressive than his Hall of Fame playing career," Florio wrote in an email to theTribune. DE Michael bennet is on board with Barber that no one of the team said anything like that. "Whoever said that, if they were man enough they would have said their name,'' he said. "A real person is going say what they said. That's why I don't put too much into it. I don't believe anybody said that.'' var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
