Larry Brown Sports:
During the first half of the Eagles-Niners game on Sunday, Philadelphia made the mistake of handing the ball off to Ronnie Brown on the goal line. Although Michael Vick was in the backfield when the play began, Brown apparently thought the Eagles were incorporating the wildcat offense. How else would you explain his lateral/pass attempt [...]

In one of the more interesting plays of the NFL weekend, Philadelphia Eagles running back Ronnie Brown was called upon to score a touchdown for Philadelphia in it's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The only problem for Ronnie was that he came short and then decided it was the best idea to lateral the ball into the waiting hands of the San Francisco defense:

It's not often a team can put its seasonal woes into one play, but the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles got just such an opportunity in their 24-23 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Eagles had a 23-3 lead with more than five minutes elapsed into the third quarter, and then everything fell apart with that very expensively-constructed team. Alex Smith (of all people!) threw...
There is no question that after falling to 1-3 after an offseason in which ownership was clear that it was "all-in", a message has to be sent.
While fans will run to the NovaCare Complex with pitch forks following today's 24-23 collapse against the San Francisco 49ers, the time to fire Andy Reid is not now.

So what in the world was Eagles running back Ronnie Brown thinking on Sunday when he ran into a pile and then suddenly threw the ball backward, giving up a costly fumble? Good question. And Brown doesn’t have much of an answer. Asked after the game what he was doing, Brown said that he had…
This post is dedicated to the comeback of the Detroit Lions as well as the collapse by the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys dominated the first 2 1/2 quarters before Tony Romo decided to throw 2 TDs to the other team. Here are the highlights. MEGATRON!
There were two interesting plays involving fumbles, or what appeared to be fumbles, from yesterdays games. The first is the head-scratcher...
The 49ers' superb second-half play propelled them to victory Sunday in Philadelphia, but the Eagles helped quite a bit, by missing two field goals and by making a couple unwise moves, capped by Jeremy Maclin's not protecting the ball as he ran into 49ers territory with about two minutes left in...
Allthough I am not a blogger for the Eagles, being a huge Eagles fan I felt the need to put something out there about the embarassment of yesterday. I am a huge fan of the Eagles even though I live in Chicago. My fanhood probably began around the time McNabb was drafted as has increased dramatically ever since. I could only see bits and pieces of yesterdays game, but from what...
