NFL Draft Zone:
With Willis McGahee (MCL tear) out 6-8 weeks, Ronnie Hillman is the Broncos’ running back to secure in fantasy football leagues. Hillman has amassed 188 yards and a touchdown on 49 carries (3.84 YPC) through eight appearances this season, also catching ten passes for 62 yards. While he’s unlikely to be a workhorse in McGahee’s absence, Hillman should flirt with 15-18 touches per game as the lead back in a tandem attack with plodding pass-down specialist Lance Ball. Denver’s high-octane offense will set up scoring chances for Hillman. He’ll be a top-two fantasy waiver claim in Week 12, along with Eagles rookie Bryce Brown. The Broncos did not come out and say that Hillman would be the starter but expect a bigger role for the rookie out of San Diego State.

Willis McGahee is going to be out an extended period of time and possibly the season with a broken leg and torn MCL. Ronnie Hillman and Lance Ball will split carries in his absence, but Hillman has by far the most upside of the bunch. Ronnie Hillman (Denver Broncos)With Willis McGahee out at least 6 weeks, Ronnie Hillman steps into the picture as a potentially solid replacement. We don’t know how much of a time-share he will have with Lance Ball, but I think Hillman is the back who comes out on top in the last few weeks. Peyton Manning knows when to run the ball, and running backs have typically done pretty...
