CHICAGO -- Quarterback Russell Wilson of Seattle is no longer short nor a rookie. Well, actually, he's still both of those things, but don't try telling that to the Chicago Bears -- or to the Seahawks, for that matter. Wilson stood tall and played like a poised veteran Sunday, directing a magnificent drive late in the fourth quarter and then another in overtime, eventually giving the Seahawks a 23-17 victory over the Bears on his 13-yard touchdown pass to Sidney Rice after 7:27 of the extra period. "Just exquisite execution by the quarterback," said Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. It was only the second road victory in seven games for Seattle, which is 5-0 at home and 7-5 overall, and kept the Seahawks in the race for at least a wild-card playoff spot in the NFC. Wilson shows 'exquisite poise' in win

Russell Wilson was trying to share the credit, spread it around to all different teammates, when he came to this: "Matt Flynn goes out there to get the coin toss flip, and that was big for us.'' Matt Flynn. Yes, I remember him. He's the guy Seattle signed for $29.5 million to run the offense. We haven't heard from him since, though he has apparently developed...

Russell Wilson leads Seattle to late win against Chicago

The Chicago Bears needed to keep Jay Cutler upright if they were going to defeat the Seattle Seahawks. Earlier in the week, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said that the training wheels were off of the offense. Wilson attempted a career high 37 passes against the Bears...

Time To Russell Up Some Recognition For Wilson

Seattle has perfect offensive finish to beat Bears

The distances the Seattle Seahawks offense needed to cover late in regulation and then again in overtime left plenty of opportunity, as Pete Carroll put it, to ''really screw it up.''
