Rookie WR Keon Coleman drops a quote that will get Bills Mafia fired up
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman has generated plenty of buzz over the last couple of weeks thanks to his entertaining/charismatic press conferences.

Coleman first went viral after he was drafted by the Bills for sharing his shopping habits/approach with reporters.

That press conference led to Coleman landing on a mural beside quarterback Josh Allen in Buffalo. The mural previously featured wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who was traded from the Bills the Houston Texans earlier this offseason.

The off-field buzz is fun, but it's not going to help the Bills win games.

And Coleman knows that as well as anyone. That's why he wants to "get back to playing ball".

"I'm aware of it. But like I said earlier, I'm happy to keep the main thing the main thing and get back to playing ball," said Coleman this week (via ESPN). "So, the hype can be there all it wants but I still have to make plays on the field. And I want to help contribute to win, so we got to win to make our fans happy. A jacket ain't going to get that done."

The off-field attention that Coleman is receiving is a result of the former Florida State wide receiver just being himself. And that's great. It's always fun for a fan base to be able to connect with a player in a unique way.

But if Coleman really wants to endear himself to Bills Mafia, he'll produce on Sundays this fall while proving to be a No. 1 wide receiver for Buffalo.

Based on Coleman's comments this week, producing on Sundays is his main focus. All of the other stuff is secondary. He knows a viral clip about a Macy's jacket isn't putting points on the board in the NFL.
