Green Bay — Aaron Rouse has gone from injury casualty to a guy on the roster bubble to the starter in a matter of two weeks.
The Green Bay Packers safety was forced into action against Chicago Sunday night when starter Atari Bigby suffered a right knee sprain and is expected to be in the lineup in place of Bigby against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.
The 6-4 Rouse has been working all summer to improve his tackling and show the coaching staff that he's capable of playing a position he is considered by some too tall to play. Safeties coach Darren Perry, a nine-year veteran of the NFL, has made Rouse his pet project and is trying to get him to consistently bend his knees and get his pads down.
