There's a chance that Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will return this week from a groin injury, but don't expect a prediction on whether it will happen until Thursday at the earliest.
The plan is for Jennings to practice only one day this week if it turns out he's capable of playing. The last time, the medical staff thought he practiced too much during the week and that resulted in a setback during the game.
So Jennings will go through a run test Thursday, and if he passes he'll be given an opportunity to practice Friday.
"The plan with Greg just from Day 1 was to try to get as far into the week because with his type of injury, the fatigue (is a concern), going through the testing and him maxing it out, coach Mike McCarthy said. "The fatigue part of it we felt, sending him out for a bunch of practice, was probably not in his best interest for the week he comes back.

While it was once believed that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings may be able to return from his nagging groin injury as soon as Week 8 of the 2012 NFL season, that now does not appear to be the case. In fact, Jennings may be nowhere near making a healthy return to the field any time soon for the Packers.

Mike McCarthy isn't sure when Greg Jennings will be back in uniform on game day, but the Green Bay Packers head coach insisted Monday that the team still has room -- and a need -- for its Pro Bowl receiver. Jennings has missed the last three games after he aggravated a groin injury early in the Sept. 30 win over the New Orleans Saints. ESPNMilwaukee reported Jennings visited...

Green Bay wideout Greg Jennings could practice this week, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He's still battling an injured groin.Fantasy Spin:Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has plenty of targets in Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Jermichael Finley, Donald Driver and Randall Cobb so the team may opt to wait until Jennings is 100 percent before put him out there.
Greg Jennings was hopeful that he could return this week against the Jags, but that hope has been dampened by a trip to a groin specialist. The Packers offense is clicking on all cylinders right now, so the odds of them rushing him back are slim to none.
We warned you a bit when this injury first occurred, as groin injuries are hard to shake, and Aaron Rodgers has the ability to...
It seems that the prank war between Packers WR James Jones and Greg Jennings has gone to the next level where Jennings has Jones’s tires ripped off his Avalanche. We believe this is in response to Jones painting the Jennings SUV back in September.
It’s just all about the love at Packers HQ. The team is winning again and trucks are up on blocks. So much fun!
News is circulating that Miami native and former Pro-Bowl receiver Dwayne Bowe wants out of Kansas City. His contract expires this off-season, and the Dolphins need a franchise pass catcher. Match made in heaven no? Bowe has 39 touchdowns to his credit, but recently turned 28. Signing him to a multi-year deal may not be a financially savvy decision for a predominantly youthful franchise...

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Injuries have become such a problem for the Packers that coach Mike McCarthy had to shorten Wednesday's practice by more than 20 minutes.
With nearly 25 percent of Green Bay's roster either unavailable or participating on a limited basis, the Packers hobbled into their week of preparation for this Sunday's home game against the 1-5 Jacksonville Jaguars...
In an effort to support domestic violence prevention throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Green Bay Packers and Verizon Wireless have "connected" to promote healthy relationship campaigns. Packers receivers Greg Jennings and James Jones are engaged in a prank war, with Jennings landing the latest salvo. This gives me a big Dougie smile:

Post-practice notes from today includ a rash of injuries:
Greg Jennings’ progress is going very slowly – hence the team is getting second opinion. Maybe Jennings is just a pansy.
Jordy Nelson’s hamstring tightened up so he had to sit down.
Donald Driver DNP and John Kuhn has a calf issue.
Sam Shields and Nick Perry are doubtful for Sunday.
Hopefully Raji will be out there...
