Ryan Fitzpatrick had a tall order to fill on Sunday afternoon — he not only had to replace Jake Locker under center, but he also had to take the reins against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. It was not just a job for a veteran quarterback, but a job for Superman.
The former Bills quarterback started out looking rough for the Titans, going three-and-out on his first five series, but in the fourth quarter he stunned everyone with one play. Fitzpatrick found a hole on third-and-goal and finished off his 9-yard run with a dive into the end zone, giving Tennessee the lead. The surprises kept coming though, as Fitzpatrick did his best Cam Newton imitation during his celebration, copying his trademark Superman move.
Unfortunately for the Harvard graduate, the Chiefs were able to discover the Titans’ kryptonite, and Kansas City went on to win 26-17.

Just as the Tennessee Titans began to show promise, their season came into question when starting quarterback Jake Locker suffered a hip injury in the 38-13 win over the New York Jets in Week 4. It is well-known by this point that the Tennessee Titans will be without Jake Locker for likely the next three games because of his hip injury. That means backup Ryan Fitzpatrick will be pressed into duties as the starter, with Rusty Smith the new backup as the Titans finally made that roster move.
In Fitzpatrick, the Titans have one of the better backup quarterbacks in the...
Somehow, at the beginning of the season, some Titans fans were actually calling for Ryan Fitzpatrick to start. After yesterday’s game, Jake Locker can’t return quickly enough. The Titans offense looked absolutely miserable in the first half, and while it picked up a little in the second half, they need to seriously reconsider the gameplan they had. Kansas City shut down the...
