As reported on Twitter, Ryan Talbot of Queen City Sports has been told that the Buffalo Bills have contacted Ryan Fitzpatrick’s agent to discuss restructuring his contract. As it stands now, Fitzpatrick is in line to earn $4,250,000 in base salary for the team. His signing bonus gives him $2,000,000 and a miscellaneous bonus of $4,200,000. In all, Fitzpatrick’s cap hit for the 2013 season is $10,450,000. Fitzpatrick has struggled mightily since signing an extension in 2011 for six years and $59 million. After starting the 2011 season with a 4-2 record, Fitzpatrick has gone 8-18 since. While there is no word on what Fitzpatrick plans on doing in terms of restructuring, he may not have many other options available to him. Looking across the NFL landscape, Fitzpatrick wouldn’t have many opportunities to start besides Buffalo. It’s almost a certainty that Buffalo will be drafting a rookie in the 2013 NFL Draft, but with the Bills, Fitzpatrick will most likely be given the chance to compete in training camp to be the starting signal caller for the Bills. Offseason Needs: Buffalo Bills

1. Quarterback The Buffalo Bills  have to end the carousel at quarterback. But is this the year? Geno Smith will likely be off the board before the Bills are on the clock, which would force them to reach to fill the need. What the Bills learned from the Ravens

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, considers himself an elite quarterback. So much so that not only did he say he was a Top-5 QB in the NFL, he was the best QB playing the game right now. Based on his performance in the postseason, more importantly the Super Bowl, he has a valid point, much the chagrin of any naysayers that believe Flacco has some work to do before being considered...

Bills zealously 'shaking out' preliminary draft board

Buffalo coaches and scouts had the first meeting in a long list of meetings Tuesday to ascertain...

Bills WR/QB Smith goes from wildcat to catwalk

Of the many hats jack-of-all-trades specialist Brad Smith wears playing for the Buffalo Bills, none of them happen to be designed by Tommy Hilfiger. The Bills receiver, part-time quarterback and kickoff returner is going to try his hand at journalism and style, working...

My ode to Donald Jones

I know what you are thinking...Does Donald Jones deserve any ink or cyber traction? Yes..Yes, he does. My odes/happy trails pieces go beyond the player and into what exactly the player represented here. Donald Jones represents why feel good stories aren't feel good when the team actually sucks. He stunk. It was laughable that in a passing league, the Bills would try and...
