Packers running back Ryan Grant recently took a one million dollar pay cut in exchange for a guaranteed one year deal. Grant was set to make a base salary of $3.5 million in 2011, but will now make $2.5 million which is now fully guaranteed against skill and injury - which was not the case before the agreement. It's still a nice haul for Grant, who is as average as they come in the NFL. He signed with the New York Giants after going undrafted, he was dealt to the Packers for a cheesehead hat. He's had two years of 1,200 yards or more rushing yards, but was probably more of a product of Green Bay's high-powered offense. With All Pro Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson holding out for a new contract and rumored to be asking for $13 million a year, Grant is encouraging fellow running backs to take less.
