60 Max Power O:
The 2012 Carolina Panthers are, without a doubt, the most talented group in the 18-year history of the franchise.
And with that talent comes expectations.
No more rebuilding. No more waiting. No more moral victories. No more “we’re a year away” conversations.
No more EXCUSES.
It’s time to start winning.
This was the message sent by center Ryan Kalil when he took out a full-page ad in the Charlotte Observer guaranteeing a Panthers Super Bowl victory this season. While his message was heard by many, it was intended for few – his teammates, his coaches and the Panther faithful.
While Kalil’s guarantee was nothing but food for banter elsewhere, it was a rallying cry in the Carolinas. Setting the bar at the highest possible goal is a way of instilling a winning culture in the locker room.
Since Kalil took out that ad two weeks ago, the entire organization has rallied behind the goal of winning a Super Bowl. Everybody is all in. All the chips on are on the table. The Panth...

When the Panthers signed Mike Tolbert this offseason, it was a head scratching move for both parties. Tolbert has rushed for 1225 yards and 17 touchdowns on 303 carries in the last 2 seasons, along with another 79 catches for 649 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has the talent to be part of a running back tandem somewhere in the league. Meanwhile, the Panthers already had two talented...
Go ahead, you try telling Carolina's Byron Bell and Thomas Keiser the NFL preseason doesn't matter.
They know better.
Bell and Keiser arrived at Panthers training camp last summer as undrafted rookies and heavy underdogs to make the 53-man roster. Both overcome those odds after strong performances in the preseason.
Bell made the opening-day roster and started 12 games...
Last season, Cam Newton impressed everyone in the NFL with his amazing record setting rookie season with the Carolina Panthers. Cam Newton never once let up and showed game after game that he truly was the real deal. Even critics couldn’t deny that Cam proved them wrong as most expected Cam to be a bust [...]
I may have been one of the harshest Cam Newton critics coming into last season. I knew he had talent, it just wasn’t conventional talent that typically translated to immediate NFL success, and I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong.
He had a historically good rookie season, putting up gaudy statistics, and winning over skeptics from all over the vast sea of haters known as...
The Carolina Panthers announced this evening that they have extended the contract of RB Jonathan Stewart. The terms of the five year extension are a reported deal worth $36.5 million with $22 million guaranteed. The Panthers have now handed out over $40 million in guaranteed money in the last two seasons to running backs. Last season, the Panthers give fellow running back DeAngelo...
The Panthers have committed long-term to running back Jonathan Stewart. They signed the back to a new five-year, $36.5 million contract extension on Saturday.Fantasy Spin:Stewart is still likely to split carries with DeAngelo Williams in 2012 but after the season, it looks like he'll have the starting halfback position all to himself. Stewart is a dual threat as a rusher and...

The Carolina Panthers guaranteed their one-two punch at running back would stay intact by signing Jonathan Stewart to a five-year contract extension Saturday. The deal, which runs through 2017, is worth between $36.5 million and $42.5 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. Stewart is guaranteed $22.5 million, per Schefter's source. Stewart's deal comes one year...
Jonathan Stewart never doubted he was going to remain with the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers reached a five-year contract extension with the fifth-year running back hours before their preseason opener Saturday night, meaning Stewart and close friend DeAngelo Williams will remain teammates for the foreseeable future.
Carolina Panthers defensive end Thomas Keiser has found another way to stay hydrated during training camp. He simply ingests chia pet seeds, yes you heard me correctly.
"People ask me all the time if it's the same stuff that's in Chia Pets. It is," Keiser said. "I'll have probably two or three tablespoons in somewhere between two-thirds...
Alright, so there are basically two ways this thing works out. Carolina Panthers Defensive End Thomas Keiser is either the biggest moron of all time or this story is total ********.
From Panthers.com Staff Writer Max Henson:
“People ask me all the time if it’s the same stuff that’s in Chia Pets. It is,” Keiser said. “I’ll have probably two or three tablespoons in somewhere...
Between the Panthers’ 5 year extension to DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, the Panthers have committed a combined 43.5 million guaranteed to two different running backs, DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, in the last 2 offseason. Last offseason, Williams got 5 years, 43 million with 21 million guaranteed and Jonathan Stewart now has received 5 years, 36.5 million with...
