Dallas Cowboys And The NFL:
Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan called recent free agent signee Kenyon Coleman a “tough, proven” guy.
The Cowboys signed the veteran end to add depth to their defensive line.
The signing reunites Coleman with Ryan. Coleman started 27 of 29 games for Ryan in Cleveland from 2008-09, registering four sacks.
“He’s about as solid as there is an end in the 3-4 scheme,” Ryan said. “He knows how to play it. He puts up a big stop sign that says, ‘No run. You have to go the other way.’ That’s what he does. Pass-rush wise, maybe he’s not the greatest, but he’s got long arms and he can deflect balls, so that’s all I’m goign to say about his pass rushing.”
