There have been some reports that the Cleveland Browns may look to trade for Patriots back up quarterback Ryan Mallett with the addition of Michael Lombardi to their front office. According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the Browns aren’t expected to go after Mallett. Even if Lombardi wants Mallett, (which we don’t know) the rest of the Browns front office would also have to be on board and I’m not sure they’d be willing to give up the draft picks needed to make the move happen.       Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1;...

Patriots may rid themselves of both Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker

Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe believes  both Brandon Lloyd and Wes Welker likely won’t be back with the Patriots next season.  And I agree with him. It’s been obvious for a while now that Wes Welker is likely done in New England.  If they place the franchise tag on him for a second straight season, it will cost them $11.4 million for the 2013 season.  They can’t afford...

Patriots rumors: Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd gone?

The New England Patriots have several options when it comes to tackling their offseason, but one route could have them allowing Wes Welker to walk and also parting ways with Brandon Lloyd, according to Greg A. Patriots Unlikely To Trade QB Ryan Mallett To Browns

In his offseason preview of the New England Patriots, Gregg Rosenthal made the point that a trade of backup quarterback Ryan Mallett to the Cleveland Browns might be too obvious to actually happen. McGinest: Time for Brady to have talk with Gronkowski

A year after catching flak for being filmed dancing on a badly sprained ankle following the New England Patriots' Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants, Rob Gronkowski TMZed it up again. This time around, the tight end was filmed performing wrestling moves at a Vegas nightclub while sporting a cast on his twice-surgically repaired forearm, which was broken in two different...

Percy Harvin Would Be Perfect Fit for Patriots’ Offense As Vikings Attempt to Trade Troubled Wide Receiver

Back in 2009, the Patriots held the No. 23 overall pick in the NFL draft. Percy Harvin went No. 22 and New England immediately traded down to No. 26, and then out of the first round entirely. That may not have been a coincidence. The Patriots worked out Harvin prior to the draft, and then-Vikings head coach Brad Childress thought Minnesota stole the Florida product out from under...

How the Browns could win a Joe Flacco negotiation

The world of NFL contracts is pretty tough to comprehend at times due to the fact that there are various bonuses and cap implications. Baseball, conversely, is pretty easy.
