Found September 23, 2012 on This Given Sunday:
It's been a rough start to the season for a few teams we thought would be playoff bound, especially in the AFC. There are currently 5 teams in the AFC that have yet to win a game after 2 weeks of play. In the NFC, the Saints are the lone winless team. For the Saints, Chiefs and Titans, this season has been particularly disappointing. The Saints seemed to be a perennial contender, while the Chiefs and Titans were thought to be coming into their own. Some saw the Saints' woes coming months ago. They're without their head coach, Sean Payton. They're without their first interim coach, Joe Vitt. The Saints are trying to navigate a difficult schedule with what is essentially their 3rd string head coach and a team that has seemed nothing short of defeated so far this year. Today, the Saints will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a game that will likely eliminate one of them from playoff contention. The easy pick here is the Saints. On paper, they should ...

Saints looking to use Travaris Cadet as a receiver

According to Gary Estwick the, New Orleans Saints undrafted rookie free agent Travaris Cadet spent last week learning the wide receiver position, to help himself get on the field, since as a running back he’s currently buried on the depth chart. If the Saints can install some specific packages for Cadet, he’ll just be another weapon that opposing defenses will have...

Pierre Thomas Wins Big At Six Flags

I’m good at the ring toss Juan… Pierre Thomas came up big last week with 143 total yards against the Panthers and gets the lowly Chiefs defense this week as well. Looks like Pierre Thomas came up big at Six Flags too. He either tossed the softball in milkcan or shot the basketball in the oval hoop to get the moster stuffed animal. Tebow And Bono Chad Johnson Gets In The Ring

Brees: Saints urgently need consistency

(Eds: Updates throughout. With AP Photos.) By BRETT MARTEL AP Sports Writer Drew Brees readily acknowledges he is an eternal optimist - and won't buy into the notion that an 0-3 record is proof the Saints are doomed without suspended coach Sean Payton. When he reviewed video on Monday of New Orleans' collapse in a 27-24 overtime loss to Kansas City a day earlier, he took...

Week 3 NFL Preview: Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans Saints

Coaching, contrary to popular belief, is important. Don’t believe me? Check the Saints 0-2 record to start 2012. No Sean Payton = No wins. It’s been that simple. Romeo Crennel, as solid of a coach as he may be, is also off to a 0-2 start which has left some scratching their heads. They haven’t had the toughest of starts schedule wise yet they come into Week 3 winless heading...

Saints Nation: Five Things to Look For in Chiefs @ Saints

Gameday is here and it's another chance for the Saints to get this bitter winless season taste out of mouths, pronto. The Chiefs come to the Superdome as the lone team that's given up as many points as the Saints through two games. They've played some bad football so far, which makes them the perfect candidate to face a team so desperate to get back on track. I'm...

Drew Brees Was Reincarnated

That’s Rutherford B. Hayes the19th President Juan…

not so easy in the Big Easy

Everybody knew that Peyton Manning is great, but perhaps it took us witnessing the team without him last year to realize just how valuable he is. We are getting the same thing this year with the other Payton (with an “a”), Sean, the coach of the Saints. In a season already filled with surprises, the biggest shocker in Week 3 is the same thing from the opener, how disappointing...

Mucho Frio: Marques Colston

I’m not helping anyone this season Juan… Marques Colston signed a big deal in the offseason which put that issue in the rear view mirror.  Yes, losing Sean Payton was a blow to the offense, but all the other pieces were in place for Colston to be a top 10-15 WR again in 2012. So far this season the only news Colston has made is about his foot injury which is obviously hampering...
