If the goal was the playoffs -- and it always was -- this year's New Orleans Saints are done. Their 52-27 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday ended any realistic visions of squeaking into the postseason. "That was an embarrassment today," Saints interim coach Joe Vitt told The Star-Ledger after the game. "... Here's the key, we can't have four turnovers in a game, especially on the road against a good football team. We can't allow them to have the returns that they had and score touchdowns on returns and have a chance to win on the road against a good football team." Vitt has done a serviceable job in suspended coach Sean Payton's absence. One can argue the Saints would own a better record with Payton in the mix, but many of the problems that haunted New Orleans on Sunday are systemic issues that speak to an aging roster with deep flaws on defense. "This was a pounding today," Vitt acknowledged. Source: NFL.com Attached Thumbnails

Stevie Brown Earning His Keep with the Giants

Anyone who says they knew who Stevie Brown was before the 2012 NFL Season is either a liar or a diehard Giants or Michigan Wolverines fan.  It is doubtful that fans of the Raiders, Panthers or Colts knew who he was before this year and he had short stints with all of those teams through his three year career.
