New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton underwent successful surgery Monday to repair a torn meniscus and fractured tibia in his left leg.Payton is expected to be able to return to the team by Wednesday, though he will be limited in what he can do. He'll be unable to put any weight on his leg for about eight weeks.A full recovery is expected to take between three and six months.Payton was injured on the first series of the Saints' 26-20 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday, when Buccaneers tight end Jimmy Graham was tackled into him.Payton says he'll likely call plays from the booth this Sunday when New Orleans faces Indianapolis.
