New Orleans wide receiver Lance Moore has missed the past two days of practice because of a hamstring injury and his status is up in the air for Sunday night's game against San Diego. The Saints already are thin at the position with Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, Courtney Roby and Joseph Morgan as their only healthy receivers. Moore has 19 receptions for 287 yards and two touchdowns this season and shares the team lead in catches with Colston. "It's a case where guys are going to have to step up and do it," interim coach Aaron Kromer told The Times-Picuyne. "We have to adjust what we're doing and fill guys in when we can. It's hard to replace Lance Moore." The Saints reportedly worked out several receivers this week.

Saints interim Head Coach Aaron Kromer: “We’re not the same team”

It’s a hard act to follow when the GM, Head Coach, and Assistant Head Coach have put together one of the model franchises in the NFL, however, none of them can’t be in touch with the team due to the bounty suspensions. Interim Head Coach Aaron Kromer is going through just that. Sean Payton who is largely credited for the building of Saints into a NFL powerhouse, can’t even...

San Diego Chargers at New Orleans Saints – Week 5 Pre-game

I can’t account for the past four or five weeks in my life, but I have strange memories of being surrounded my little green men and red headed woman on what could have been the interior of a space ship of some kind…I also think that I must have been locked inside some sort of a time continuum, because as I have returned to normal life again I have come to understand that the...

Saints Nation: Was Losing Carl Nicks the Reason for Offense Struggling?

I was perusing the PFF grades through the first four weeks of the season today and I came across some interesting numbers. Of all the guards in the NFL, Jahri Evans is currently ranked 5th, Ben Grubbs is currently 8th and Carl Nicks is currently ranked 16th. All things being equal, would I prefer to have kept Nicks? Of course. But his loss, at least so far, isn't as pronounced...

TE Graham says Gates' success paved way for him

Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham wonders if he would even be in the NFL if not for the success Drew Brees had with Antonio Gates in San Diego more than a half decade ago. Graham, who played only one season of college football at Miami after four years of basketball, says he knows Gates paved the way for him. Brees says Gates was ''an experiment'' when he joined the...

Brees has spun it 191 times this season while completing 110...

Saints Nation: Scouting the Chargers

The Saints are 0-4 and the only thing we have to really root for at this point is Brees getting the consecutive games with a passing touchdown record. He's currently tied with Johnny Unitas and one touchdown pass in this game will give him what he needs to eclipse it. So who will be the man to catch that touchdown pass? I'm going with Jimmy Graham. Of course while the Saints...
