We just reported that the Broncos and Dwight Freeney haven’t ramped up their contract talks yet. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network wouldn’t be surprised if the Saints also make an attempt to sign Freeney to upgrade their pass rush. It looks like both teams are looking to add Freeney for purely pass rushing reasons.  He’s not a good fit in a 3-4, but can wreak havoc on third and long.       Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();

Broncos defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson shocked at Elvis Dumervil’s departure: ‘This is unbelievable to me that we lost Elvis in this way’

The Denver Broncos front office had drawn some heat before Elvis Dumervil decided to sign with Baltimore. On Monday, the team’s brass is sitting right in the fire. How did they let a premier pass rusher in his prime get away? Did they purposely sabotage the last minute negotiations, changing the parameter tight against the deadline forcing Dumervil’s agent to fax the deal...

Dumervil will get $8.5 million in 2013, which is $500,000 more than...

Michael Strahan has Tiger Blood: The Most Improved NFC and AFC Team Post Free Agency

Michael Strahan is a pretty cool guy. Not that I didn’t expect that, but sometimes you just don’t know for sure. Last Friday, I was attending the NYPLA’s Annual Dinner in Honor of the Federal Judiciary in the Waldorf=Astoria (and yes, that equal sign is intentional and I have no idea why they do that). Normally I would never discuss this with anyone, ever,...
