The NFL schedule release took place earlier this week, and we now know what the New Orleans Saints will be looking at in the regular season. The Saints are hungry to find a way into the postseason, and New Orleans fans are excited for a lot of these matchups. Here are predictions for all 17 regular season games.

Week 1 vs. Carolina Panthers

The Saints will start their regular season at home against the Panthers. This should be a good way for New Orleans to open the year as the Panthers likely won’t be very good next season. Expect Bryce Young and the offense to take some strides this offseason, but they have a lot of work to do. The Saints will get it done in week one. WIN.

Week 2 at Dallas Cowboys

Things will get more difficult in week two as the Saints will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. The Cowboys are going to be very good once again and they are going to be a tough out for anybody in the regular season. Going on the road will make this one that much tougher for the Saints, and they will suffer their first loss of the season in week two. LOSS.

Week 3 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Following the road trip to Dallas, the Saints will be back at home to host the Eagles, another team that went to the playoffs last year. Philadelphia started off as one of the best teams in the NFL last season, but they had a shocking end of season collapse. Expect them to be back to their regular winning ways when the new season rolls around. Philadelphia will leave New Orleans with a W. LOSS.

Week 4 at Atlanta Falcons

The Saints will make the quick trip to Atlanta for a week four battle with the Falcons. This division should be a tight one once again this season, and this will be the first meeting of two between these two teams. It will be interesting to see who ends up being QB1 for the Falcons as Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins will be battling it out. Atlanta will win round one between these two teams. LOSS.

Week 5 at Kansas City Chiefs

The beginning of the season is going to be a tough stretch for the Saints. They will head to Kansas City in week five to take on the defending Super Bowl champs. We all know that the Chiefs are going to once again be one of the best teams in the NFL, and going on the road to play them at Arrowhead is incredibly difficult. Chiefs will win this one. LOSS.

Week 6 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After going to Kansas City, the schedule starts to get a little bit easier for the Saints. They have another divisional game in week six as the Buccaneers will come to town. Tampa Bay won the division narrowly last year and they went to the playoffs. They are trying to defend their division crown, but they will lose round one against the Saints in New Orleans. WIN.

Week 7 vs. Denver Broncos

Week seven will see the Broncos visit New Orleans. This is another team that has an interesting QB situation right now. Zach Wilson, Jarrett Stidham and Bo Nix all have a shot to be QB1, but will any of those guys be able to lead Denver to a successful season? We’ll have to wait and see, but they are going to lose when they visit New Orleans. WIN.

Week 8 at Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers weren’t great last season, but they now have Jim Harbaugh as their head coach. Harbaugh has been successful at every stop, and you have to imagine that he’ll have the Chargers playing good football this season. This is going to be a difficult road game for the Saints, and they will be sent home with a loss. LOSS.

Week 9 at Carolina Panthers

When it comes to division matchups this season, the Saints have to make sure that they win two against the Panthers. They have some tough teams on this schedule, and Carolina likely isn’t going to be great again. They have to take advantage and get wins against them. They already took round one at home, and they will get the win on the road as well. WIN.

Week 10 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Round one between these two went to the Falcons in Atlanta, but being at home can change a lot of things. This could end up being a big game for the division race, and the Saints have to take advantage of their home-field. Atlanta won’t be able to pull off the season sweep and the Saints will find a way to get a win in this one. WIN.

Week 11 vs. Cleveland Browns

The Browns will come to town in week 11 and this one should end up being a pretty even game. Both teams should be on a similar level next season, but the Saints will have an advantage being at home in this one. They will defend home turf and get another win. WIN.

Week 13 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Following the bye week, the Saints will be at home again against the Rams. Matthew Stafford led his team back to the playoffs last season, and they are hungry to get back there again. They should have another good team, and this should end up being a good game. Expect a close one, but the Rams will head back to Los Angeles with a win. LOSS

Week 14 at New York Giants

The Giants didn’t have a good year last season as they won just six games, and they aren’t expected to be very good this upcoming season either. New York is one of the worst teams that the Saints have on the schedule and they have to be able to take advantage and get a win. They will get it done. WIN.

Week 15 vs. Washington Commanders

Same thing goes for the week 15 matchup against the Commanders. Washington was one of the worst teams in the NFL last season, and the Saints will get them at home near the end of the regular season. This has to be a win, and it will be. WIN.

Week 16 at Green Bay Packers

Week 16 is going to be tough. The Packers are expected to be very good this season after they got hot at the end of last year. Going to Lambeau in the winter doesn’t make this matchup any easier for the Saints. They will head back to New Orleans cold, and with a loss. LOSS.

Week 17 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

New Orleans will play their final home game of the season in week 17 when the Raiders come to town. This one should be pretty evenly matched, but the Saints will defend home turf and get a victory in their final home game of the season. WIN.

Week 18 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Saints will finish things up on the road against the Buccaneers. This could end up being a big one for the division race, and it will be a tough environment to win in. The Saints took round one at home, but they lose on the road in week 18. LOSS.

Final Record: 9-8
