New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis was relaxed even chipper in his press conference Thursday on the eve of training camp. No surprise there since Loomis has already signed all of the team's 2013 draft picks and won't have to deal with any holdouts when camp starts Friday morning. But looming in the background maybe even the forefront are the expiring contracts of several key veterans including tight end Jimmy Graham who is playing out the final season of his rookie deal. Loomis said Graham hasn't complained at all but acknowledged that getting a deal worked out with one of Drew Brees' favorite targets has been discussed among team management. "He knows we want to have him here long term for his entire career and I think he wants to be here for that same period" Loomis said. "These things have a way of working out for us." After a flurry of contract restructurings including notable paycuts by Jonathan Vilma and Will Smith the Saints have about $5 million available in 2013 salary cap space. Graham will earn $1.323 million in base salary this season the final year of his initial $3.3 million contract. With his production over the years Graham's next payday is expected to be substantial. He earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in a record-setting season in 2011 where he temporarily held the NFL record of receiving yards in a season by a tight end before it was broken by New England's Rob Gronkowski later that day. In 46 games Graham has 2648 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns
