Remember all those injuries the Saints' defense suffered in the preseason? Lightning appears to be striking more than once for Rob Ryan’s players. After a thrilling 23-17 victory over their division rival Atlanta Falcons the Saints were left with some bad news as nose-tackle Brodrick Bunkley, cornerback Patrick Robinson and defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker were unable to finish the game.Brodrick Bunkley was in a walking boot and crutches. Patrick Robinson also wore a walking boot after the game.— Larry Holder (@LarryHolder) September 8, 2013Bunkley was seen on the sidelines in a walking boot and crutches after the game and the severity of his injury is unknown at this time. During a Steven Jackson run in the first half, Bunkley got tangled up which led to a lower right leg injury according to AP NFL. There is not much word on defensive lineman Tyrunn Walker and Patrick Robinson. It is believed that Walker has a left leg injury and Robinson was seen wearing a walking boot after the game according to Canal Street Chronicles. At this point the Saints may want to hold some open tryouts with the amount of injuries they have incurred in the past few weeks. While only allowing 17 points to the high powered Falcons offense is a feat in its own, there is no guarantees that they will put up these types of numbers all season long.
