OAKLAND -- The New Orleans' Saints long climb back to .500 ended Sunday with a 38-17 rout of the Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum. After starting 0-4, the Saints are now 5-5, and they have no intention of going backward. "It's been a long grind, especially starting off 0-4," Saints strong safety Roman Harper said. "We never pointed fingers, we stuck together as a locker room, as a team. We knew we could achieve great things if we could stick together and continue this grind of this long season. "We're right back where we need to be. We're back at .500, and we've got to continue to grind and we'll be in the playoff race." The Raiders, meanwhile, continued streaking in the wrong direction, losing their third straight game and falling to 3-7. Rookie coach Dennis Allen, who won a Super Bowl during his five-year stint as a Saints assistant coach, lost to his former team. "Disappointing," Allen said. "We felt li...

An Alabama judge has dismissed charges against Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain.

Decatur Municipal Judge Bill Cook convicted McClain in May of third-degree assault, menacing, reckless...
Keys to Victory: Week 11 vs. New Orleans
Sitting at 3-6, the Raiders’ hopes of making a run at the playoffs continue to slip with every passing week. With a matchup against the red hot New Orleans Saints, their prospects do not get any easier. Considering the struggles of both defenses, this game could easily turn into the biggest of shootouts. Accordingly so, here are the Raiders’ Week [...]
Bengals back to even as Palmer comes to town
The Bengals are back to the break-even mark as they get ready for a reunion. Carson Palmer is returning to town.
The Bengals (5-5) have gotten back into playoff contention by playing their best games of the season back-to-back. They've beaten the defending Super Bowl-champion Giants 31-13 and the lowly Chiefs 28-6 in the last two weeks, emerging from a four-game losing streak...
Saints win relegation battle at QPR
Nigel Adkins' Southampton won 3-1 at winless QPR in a match dubbed 'El Sackico'.

Saints OT Charles Brown Injures Knee In Win Over Raiders
Already thin at the offensive tackle position with starting right tackle Zach Strief sitting out with a groin injury, the New Orleans Saints suffered another blow when Strief's replacement Charles Brown left the game late in the second quarter with a right knee injury.
Brown did not return and left the locker room Sunday with the help of crutches. Early indications are that...
New Not Broken
At this point of the season, I’m not looking at the glass half full, or half empty. I’m just wondering who drank my beer. For the first time this season, I failed to watch the entire Raiders game. After the 3rd quarter, my heart just could not take it anymore. I had to turn it off. I knew how it [...]

Darren Sproles is inactive for the New Orleans Saints against the Oakland Raiders with an injured left hand.

Contract Talks Between Payton And Saints Expected To Start Soon
The Saints and suspended head coach Sean Payton have not begun new talks about a contract since the NFL rejected the original three-year deal agreed upon by Payton and the team, but according to league sources those talks are expected to resume shortly, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.
The Saints received word from the league recently that, despite Payton's suspension...
Saints Nation: Offensive Player Grades @ Raiders
The Saints were both efficient and balanced on offense in this game. 28 passes, 28 rushes. They passed for 229 at 8.2 yards per pass (thanks to 75% completions) and rushed for 153 yards at 5.5 yards a pop. The last few weeks they've gotten away from Brees throwing for 400+ yards in the interest of balance, and it's made them more explosive. This was another all around impressive...

Saints Nation: Saints Raid Oakland, Cruise to 38-17 Win
Just like that, the Saints are back to .500. After starting the season 0-4, it's hard to believe the Saints are now 5-5 and right in the thick of the wild card race, but a convincing win in Oakland did just that. The Raiders look like a lost team in complete disarray, sure, but the way the Saints were able to come in and thrash them is a very encouraging sign. The defense played...

The Saints…Are Coming
For the first time in a looooong time, I got to relax in the fourth quarter of a Saints game. I kicked my feet up and casually sipped a glass of red wine without even the slightest anxiety that somehow, the opposing team would find a way to mount a comeback against mine. No need for blood pressure meds, xanax, vodka or a breathing machine. After all, I was witnessing a classic...
