The New Orleans Saints announced that they’ve signed TE Ben Watson to a three-year contract on Monday.
The team also announced that LB Ramon Humber was signed to a one-year deal as well.
Watson was the primary option at tight end last season for the Cleveland Browns, and graded out as the No. 28 player at his position, according to Pro Football Focus. Watson has received a good amount of praise for his locker room leadership and is still capable of being an effective tight end. Playing with Drew Brees should help, but he’s clearly their No. 2 option with Jimmy Graham entering a contract year.
