Saints star proves his faith in the team's new offensive coordinator

The New Orleans Saints implemented a new offense during this offseason. Klint Kubiak heads the new staff as offensive coordinator. He's already gotten to work with some of the top players on the offensive depth chart.

One of them? Alvin Kamara. The veteran running back has impressed Kubiak in his short time with him so far.

There were murmurs about Kamara getting traded around the NFL Draft. That was never in the cards for New Orleans. They still believe in him as their top RB and an explosive piece to their new offense.

Kubiak says it's been fun to work with Kamara so far

"He's been in multiple times - up in my office - talking football. Getting some one on one time with him to teach the offense. Getting to know him a little bit, he's a very bright player. I'm just now figuring out how bright he really is. It'll be fun to load his plate up." -- Kubiak on Kamara

It's clear that Kamara is determined to prove doubters wrong. Over the past two years, some folks have brought forth the idea that he cannot be a top RB in the NFL anymore as he nears 30 years old.

Kubiak has been around some elite RB talent before, including San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey. Getting Kamara the football in unique ways will be a challenge that the new OC has dealt with before with flying colors.

Kamara is ready to put in the work to make sure the doubters are not correct in 2024.
