According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the New Orleans Saints are thinking about releasing veteran linebacker Jonathan Vilma. Right now free agent Curtis Lofton is scheduled to visit with the Saints and if theydecide to sign either him or David Hoawthorne, who also visited New Orleans, they may dump Vilma. Vilma will be 30 years-old next month, and is scheduled to make $5.4 million, with a $100,000 work out bonus for the 2012 season.  Since the Saints don’t have a lot of cap room, it coud make sense to move on from Vilma.
