The New Orleans Saints are wasting no time interviewing for a new head coach, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed on Monday.
The #Saints HC plans this week:
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 31, 2022
— Interiew former #Dolphins coach Brian Flores tomorrow.
— Interview #Lions DC Aaron Glenn Wednesday.
— Interview current DC Dennis Allen on Wednesday or Thursday.
Perhaps one more, but as of now that’s it.
Flores, who was surprisingly let go by the Dolphins at the end of the regular season, also interviewed with the New York Giants.

The Saints learned just last week that long-time head coach Sean Payton will be stepping away from coaching football for the foreseeable future. Whether Payton is planning to completely retire or take a break from coaching in the NFL still isn't clear, but it has nevertheless left the Saints in a state of flux.
Retired Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who won a Super Bowl playing under center with Payton on the sidelines, wrote an emotional tribute to the coach on Instagram last week.
New Orleans went 9-8 this season and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
