Chicks in the Huddle:
I for one fully agree that it’s a total cop out to blame the refs for what your team does or doesn’t do in a close game. With that said the officiating crew for Sunday’s Titans/Saints game on Sunday can suck it and all of you know exactly why.
The dramatic, final moments of that game don’t tell the full tale of the pain we Saints fans endured and neither does the score. You see, there never should have been any “dramatic, final moments” because the game should never have been that close. Jimmy Graham scored a touchdown that ended up not counting and the Titans QB Jake Locker didn’t score a touchdown, which ended up counting. I’m no math whiz but that’s at least a 12 point difference, folks!
Let’s just say Locker actually did break the plane of the end zone with the football and that touchdown was legit. Okay fine. You still can’t tell me that after watching video of Jimmy Graham’s score over and over again that he somehow didn’t score. That catch was masterful. He had control
BEST OF MAXIM
New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham will have an MRI on his ailing back on Monday.
Graham admitted to the New Orleans Times-Picayune that he was in "excruciating" pain prior to Sunday's kickoff against the Tennessee Titans.
He remained in the contest and reeled in five catches for 55 yards.
"I'll be good," Graham said. "And even if I'...
So, how'd Jake Locker play against the Saints? There's been a great deal of optimism around Titans' fandom the past couple of days about Locker's work in his relief appearance on Sunday, so I thought I'd do a play-by-play breakdown of how he fared. The normal caveats apply: I'm doing this off TV footage, not all-22 film, and without exact knowledge of what...
NASHVILLE -- Jake Locker knows he should have thrown the ball away or given a teammate a chance to make a play. Instead, the rookie wound up sacked on the final play with the ball in his hand. Saints 22, Titans 17
QB: Jake Locker, Titans
The rookie out of Washington made an appearance in this stock column three weeks ago after engineering a near-comeback win over the Falcons in Atlanta, but was unfortunately put on the back burner after the team decided to stick with the veteran Matt Hasselbeck under center. Don't envision that scenario to manifest itself again, as Locker...
After an explosive Week 14, here are three unheralded medal-earners (started in less than 20-percent of Y! leagues) projected to finish in fourth place who ended up setting the fantasy pace:
Jake Locker, Ten, QB

After Matt Hasselbeck exited stage left with calf injury in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to New Orleans, the rookie entered the...

So… so… close. Tennessee put up a tremendous fight and very nearly pulled out the win, but ultimately New Orleans was just a bit too much for the AFC South club to handle. It was a rough day for the Titans – starting QB Matt Hasselbeck and WR Nate Washington left the field with injuries – but...
The Titans played hard yesterday, but just not good enough to beat the Saints. Matt Hasselbeck started at QB for the Titans yesterday and he completed 5 of 7 passes for 44 yards before leaving the game with a calf injury. Rookie Jake Locker finished up the game and he was excellent for the most part. He completed 13 of 29 passes for 282 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs. He...
So it’s pretty funny how two longtime Seattleites were chawin’ at the bitz over two non Home team NFL Franchises… As Mi Madre is a longtime New Orleans Saints Fan - and ‘Dat’s PRE Superbowl Y’all! While you’re humble scribe for reasons best left unexplained… Hmm? Was it their uniform colours? Nah Ain’t ‘Dat; Oh Never Mind! Has been on the Tennessee Titans Bandwagon...
