The New Orleans Saints made several roster moves on Monday and it included them waiving offensive lineman Ryan Lee, who the Pittsburgh Steelers originally signed as an undrafted free agent last April. Although Lee only played late in preseason games last year, he showed enough promise that the Steelers signed him to their practice squad to start the season. He remained on the practice squad until late November, but was ultimately waived and thus claimed by the Saints. Lee ended the 2012 season on the Saints injured reserve list after undergoing hernia surgery. With the Steelers still currently Read more [...]

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his wife Brittany were so excited to see the movie "The Great Gatsby" that they got dressed up in 1920s-style outfits. Looks like Drew and his wife should have tried out to be extras for the film. Had a blast at #GreatGatsby recently. And yes, of course we dressed up! This movie will win some awards I imagine. twitter.com...

5 Pittsburgh Steelers Who Will be Under the Knife During Training Camp

Every year during training camp multiple players find themselves in a position where they must perform well or find themselves looking for a new job. This year the Pittsburgh Steelers have multiple players that may be on their last legs with the team and if they don’t perform well during training camp and OTA’s they may be looking for a new team and another opportunity come September...

Steelers CB Cortez Allen Enters Jump Year As A Starter

While he only played just over 560 snaps on defense last season, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cortez Allen certainly made the most of them as he registered two interceptions, three forced fumbles and 10 passes defensed in 2012, his second season on the league. The Steelers thought highly enough of Allen that they allowed fellow cornerback Keenan Lewis to run off uncontested...

Photo: Drew Brees, wife dress up to go see The Great Gatsby

On Monday, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees apparently took his wife to see The Great Gatsby at a nearby theatre. Brees uploaded this picture (seen above) on Twitter to serve as proof. But the fact that an NFL player took his wife to the movies isn't newsworthy in and of itself. What is newsworthy, however, is the fact that the two dressed to the part to go see it...

Prior to the new CBA of 2011, NFL teams used to be allowed to have grueling two-a-day practices during training camp, but now they are limited to having one full-contact padded practice per day accompanied by a walkthrough period. On the latest episode of the Craig Wolfley Podcast, this topic was discussed as it relates to undrafted players and younger players on the offseason roster...

Steelers’ Butler Needs His Opportunity

I am going to do something that will more than likely get me in trouble with the Yinzers but I just have to say it. No, I’m not going to bash the running game but this is right there I suppose. I’m suggesting that the Pittsburgh Steelers need to give linebackers’ coach Keith Butler the opportunity to run the Steelers’ defense. Yes I know exactly what that means. It means...

Pierre Thomas Says The Saints’ RBs Will Have Defined Roles

The Saints are an offensive juggernaunt and have the skill players to run or at pass and be tremendously effective doing so.  With Chris Ivory in NY, the backfield is a little less crowded and will give more opprtunites to Ingram and Thomas.  Sproles seems like his role was carved out and Mark Ingram has flashed his potential form time to time.  Thomas is a very smooth runner...
