Chargers front office apologizes after word of them offering Kansas City Chiefs fans discounted ticket when the division rivals play Nov. 1.  Many San Diego fans were infuriated to hear news of there own Chargers inviting their division rival fans into their stadium with open arms. Even worse, giving them a discount to do so? That's right, the email included an offer to attend the game for $10 off regular price.  Team President A.G Spanos called the plan to increase ticket sales 'disappointing'. Said Spanos, "It's disappointing because we've been so aggressive this year trying to sell to new Chargers fans. We hired 18 new people. We're launching a season-ticket holder referral program, where season ticket holders will be able to get rewards if they refer a new Chargers season-ticket holder customer"  Though Spanos and the Chargers organization (as well as all of the NFL organizations) do face a very serious problem as far as selling ticket...

Dwayne Bowe’s future in Kansas City looks murky

Getty Images The Kansas City Chiefs and wide receiver Dwayne Bowe weren’t able to work out a long-term contract before yesterday’s deadline.  Now Bowe will be forced to play out the 2012 season under the franchise tag.  At this point we don’t know when and if he plans on signing his tender. It certainly looks like this could be Bowe’s last season in Kansas City.  Jason...

Chiefs GM believes Ricky Stanzi can start in the NFL

Getty Images Kansas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli told KCChiefs.com, that back up quarterback Ricky Stanzi could potentially start in the NFL one day. “We drafted a quarterback last year who I truly believe has good ability and has the potential to start in this league,” Pioli recently said, via KCChiefs.com. “I really do believe that.” I’m not sure how good Pioli...

Will Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe become a free agent in 2013?

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe received the club’s franchise tag this year. Talks for a long term deal between Bowe and the franchise never got heated up this offseason, and it’s very possible that the receiver could be playing his last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Bowe has been an enigma during his career with the Chiefs, considered by many to have an inflated ego...

Dwayne Bowe won’t be back in with Chiefs in 2013?

Today was the deadline for franchise players to sign long term deals with their respective teams. Among the several players who went unsigned was the Chiefs’ Dwayne Bowe. What’s particularly troubling about Bowe’s situation, however, is how little contact there was between the two sides. Among all of the franchise players, there might not have been two sides further apart than...

Sorry, Charlie. Brady Quinn Will Never Have It

To say Brady Quinn's N.F.L. career has been a bust would be a misstatement. Don't get me wrong — Quinn couldn't toss a football to an open receiver if Tim Tebow prayed for Jesus himself to guide them. The Chiefs' third-string slinger can't be labeled a bust because, un-like fellow 2007 Draft class member & Purple-Drank aficionado JaMarcus Russell, there...

Former Chief, Charger, and Dolphin Chris Chambers wants to return to the NFL

In an interview with the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, former NFL wide receiver Chris Chambers said he was training for a return to the NFL. Chambers, who was out of football last season, has 540 career catches for 7648 yards and 58 touchdowns in 10 seasons with the Dolphins, Chargers, and Chiefs after the Dolphins took him in the 2nd round in the 2011 NFL Draft. Those are solid numbers...

Charlie Weis Says Brady Quinn Would Have Been Good NFL Quarterback With Him as Coach

It's not every day that a former NFL offensive coordinator declares that a backup quarterback with a career passer rating of 66.8 could have been a successful starter in the NFL, but that's exactly what Charlie Weis has done. Weis, the head coach at Notre Dame from 2005 to 2009, told the Kansas City Star that former Notre Dame standout Brady Quinn would have been a good quarterback...

Where Should Chargers’ Philip Rivers Be Ranked Among QB’s in the NFL?

Recently, Quarterback legend and ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski made a list of the top thirty QB’S in the league today. Many were interested in why Chargers Quarterback Philip Rivers was placed where he was (7th). Many of the fans obviously thought he should be much higher on the list. Was QB Philip Rivers assessed fairly on where [...]

The Kansas City Chiefs want to make your dreams of becoming a sideline reporter come true

We all know the wide majority of the NFL preseason is totally and utterly worthless.  This is especially true for the fourth and final preseason game, when teams are only playing the extreme lower rungs of the depth chart.  However, the Kansas City Chiefs are using that opportunity to allow one fan to become the sideline reporter for their local broadcast for the second...
