San Diego Chargers
It was an odd sight when the Denver Broncos took to the field in hosting the San Diego Chargers in a key AFC West battle in mid-November. Instead of a somewhat typical November day with cold, possible snow and other inclement weather, the temperature at game time was 62 degrees and sunny. For Denver, they wanted to extend their winning streak to five and take complete control in the AFC West race, but San Diego was hoping for the win to keep their playoff hopes alive and keep the Broncos from winning their seventh game of the year. The first half of the game was filled with some uneven play as both Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers both threw key interceptions. For Manning, his pick was taken back for a touchdown by Chargers defensive back Eric Weddle to put San Diego up 7-0 early. Denver, though, held tough and got a Manning pass to Demaryius Thomas to level the score. Rivers was then intercepted by Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard in their ...
BEST OF MAXIM
A comical event happened near the end of Denver’s 30-23 victory over San Diego on Sunday afternoon.
Down by just one score with time still on the clock (0:17 before the play and 0:08 after the play), Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers walked off the field after being sacked by Denver’s Elvis Dumervil—eliminating any chance of stopping the game clock.
With all of his receivers down...
DENVER (AP) -- Peyton Manning threw for three touchdowns and Von Miller had three sacks, as the Denver Broncos defeated the San Diego Chargers 30-23 on Sunday to take a three-game lead in the AFC West.
Manning threw for 270 yards and Miller finished the day with 13 sacks on the season -- most in the NFL.
The Broncos quarterback got off to a slow start, throwing an interception...
Another great divisional match up for football fans features an AFC West show down in San Diego, where the (4-5) Chargers welcome Peyton Manning and the division leading (6-3) Broncos to town. The first game was an instant classic, where the Broncos came from way behind at the half to steal one at home. Manning trailed 24-0, before scoring 35 unanswered points as they stunned the...
Week 11 is here. The San Diego Chargers will travel to Denver. Are the fantasy choices too easy?QuarterbacksPeyton Manning vs. Philip RiversIs this too easy? Rivers bad. Peyton good. Manning has reverted to his MVP form. He has made everyone better. For the season Manning has 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has a league-leading passer rating of 108. The Chargers' defense...
Even the San Diego Chargers are saying it: the Denver Broncos are playing solitaire in the AFC West now.
''We can't hang our hat on Denver doing anything from a collapsing standpoint,'' quarterback Philip Rivers said after the Chargers' 30-23 loss Sunday dropped them three games behind the Broncos, who essentially own a four-game cushion by virtue of their...
DENVER -- Peyton Manning kept the Denver Broncos on a roll, throwing for three touchdowns in a 30-23 victory over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. The Broncos completed the first series sweep of their AFC West rival in seven years. It was the fifth win in a row for the division-leading Broncos (7-3), who began their streak when they roared back from a 24-0 halftime deficit to...
Peyton Manning isn't the only player the Denver Broncos brought in to make things happen.
Von Miller got the call from Denver, too, and the second-year linebacker is becoming as big of a headache for Broncos opponents as Manning is.
On a day Manning threw three more touchdown passes, Miller added three sacks and two forced fumbles to his tally to make it a miserable afternoon...
Tried to take a cocky risk going against Peyton Manning and got burned big time. My first loss of the year puts me at 8-1 on the season, which ain’t too shabby.

Green Bay Packers -3 vs. DETROIT LIONS
Week 11 brings us a division battle between the Packers and Lions. Green Bay rolls in off a bye week and on a four game winning streak. All four of those victories...
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts, two old rivals, met Sunday for the first time since Peyton Manning moved on to Denver. Star rookie Andrew Luck is now the Indianapolis quarterback, and he showed some of the special stuff he possesses, but New England pulled away and beat the Colts 59-24 in a wild one. The Patriots tied the franchise record...
Tomorrow afternoon, the San Diego Chargers travel to Denver in a game that could either tighten the AFC West back to within reason, or it could signal the end of any realistic divisional race.
The Broncos enter the game at 6-3, two full games ahead of the second place Chargers. With a win, the Broncos would push that margin to three games with just six to play. In other words...

I am banking on Manning and the Giants playing much better now that they have had their bye week.
