The AFC West is getting worse than the Big Ten these days and that is thanks to both of the favorites performing like duds lately. Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense has been a joke without a healthy Ryan Mathews in the backfield, but they should be in contention for a division title all season long. Rivers has 4 TD and 3 INT, but 688 yards are skewed numbers once you realize the Raiders and Titans were on the schedule. San Diego is accustomed to folding by December, but this division happens to be the worst in football right now. Oakland has major issues defending the pass and running the ball, but the Chiefs just ended their losing streak at two as they picked up their first victory of the season. Defeating the Saints isn’t a major accomplishment, but it helps to defeat any team in the NFL these days.
