The San Diego Chargers defense including Atari Bigby and Donald Butler were actually tackling people the other night, with their arms. They were making stops. They were sacking the quarterback. That sounds stupid, I know. That’s what defenses are supposed to do, right?

You have to understand though, that Chargers’ fans have become quite accustomed to watching the Lightning play with what has been apparently designed to be a turnstile defense.

Opposing offenses for years have been having their way with the Chargers’ defense. You could power a small city on the wind created by their many whiffs. I’ve never seen so many guys try to tackle somebody with their face. Their philosophy of – hit him and hope he falls down, damn, he didn’t fall down – has been permeating throughout the locker room since the day Wade Phillips took off for Dallas.… Read more

The San Diego Chargers are going to retire Junior Seau’s No. 55 jersey this Sunday in the home opener against the Tennessee Titans. It is a great gesture to the late Seau, who took his own life after enjoying one of the best careers in the history of the Chargers’ franchise. Unfortunately, many of the people and fans who watched Seau have some of his best seasons with the Chargers...

Antonio Gates B-Ball Jersey Gets Retired

I was the original ex-Basketball player to dominate in the NFL Juan… You can’t watch a Chargers game without hearing “Antonio Gates was a basketball player in college, which helps him come down with passes like a rebound” or “Gates boxed out the defender their as he came down with the ball.”  Now, he has his b-ball jersey retired and years from now the Chargers will...

QB Philip Rivers: Careful is the Key

Hot News for QB Philip Rivers

Welcome To Week Two: Lucky I'm Sane After All I've Been Through

As I'm sure you've discovered by now, I was generally satisfied with what I saw on Monday Night in Oakland.  There is a lot to improve upon, but the biggest thing is that I never felt like the Chargers would inevitably make an asinine play and lose.  That speaks volumes after what we all suffered through last season.  When we were 4-1, we all vented about how the team...
