This Given Sunday:
At 7th in the AFC, you would think the Chargers would be in the thick of the playoff race, but that's not the case. They're currently tied two other teams for the 7th position, and they're a full two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers for the last playoff spot.
The Chargers were supposed to raise their game this year. It was thought they would be in a three-way battle for the AFC West crown with the Broncos and the Chiefs, but this season never materialized for the Chargers, and once again, the team is underachieving.
You could point to a number of problems the Chargers are having that's preventing them from winning games, but ultimately it falls on the shoulders of head coach Norv Turner and general manager A.J. Smith.
A big problem with the Norv Turner era in San Diego has been the chronic underachievement of his teams. The Chargers may have had difficulty winning playoff games under Marty Schottenheimer, but at least they were in the playoffs in thos...

No chance the Chargers travel to Denver and beat Manning this week.
After a rough Week 10, I'm sitting at 92-54-1. Who wants to keep track of a tie.

San Diego Chargers (4-5) at Denver Broncos (6-3)
In my Power Rankings this week I joked, “Why does it feel like the Chargers are going to lose to Denver, fall to 4-6, and then go on their annual late season run, finish 8-8 or 9-7, miss the playoffs barely, and save Norv Turner’s and AJ Smith’s jobs? Oh, that’s right, that happens every year.” Well, I’m not so sure that...
I normally don’t turn off football games despite the score line because there’s always a chance you might miss something truly extraordinary. Nothing emphasized that point better than the last time the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers met on a Monday night during week 6 of the regular season, as I managed to watch one of the most incredible comebacks in the 2012 season...
Waiver Wire Pick-ups!
Danario Alexander – WR Chargers:
Five catches for 134 yards and a touchdown with seven targets last week. He took the starting spot and didn’t look back on Sunday. Royal and Meachem may be around this coming week but Alexander is showing his worth with Philip Rivers. A good pick-up in deeper leagues. At Denver this week.
Chris Ivory – RB Saints:
