Former San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson bolted to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday evening, signing a five-year deal worth $55,555,555 (say that five times fast), but general manager A.J. Smith and the team found a replacement early Wednesday morning.
OK, maybe not a replacement, per say. But a consistent deep threat and a reliable receiver, nonetheless. San Diego announced that it has signed ex-New Orleans Saints wide out Robert Meachem. The former Tennessee Volunteer was selected 27th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft.

His contract is worth $25.9 million for four years, with $14 million guaranteed, according to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune.
