The Seattle Seahawks dominated the San Francisco 49ers Sunday night in a 29-3 victory. In a game that was delayed by lightning in Seattle, the Seahawks beat the 49ers on offense and defense. After advancing to the Super Bowl last season, San Francisco, and especially quarterback Colin Kaepernick, looked downright awful. The game displayed an interesting story line as the two teams have developed a nasty rivalry in recent years.San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh cranked that up an additional notch this summer with comments about the Seahawks' players being cheaters. Here are three interesting facts that became apparent after this game.1. Colin Kaepernick is not Superman. Kaepernick was terrible in this game. His performance was the worst by a quarterback in the NFL this year. He was 13 of 28 for 127 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT and a 20.1 passer rating. This was after he put up 412 yards and 3 TDs last week in a victory over Green Bay.Kaepernick looked frustrated and lost in the noisy environment of CenturyLink Field. In two games he has played in Seattle, Kaepernick is averaging only 186 yards per game. He is now 0-2 against the Seahawks and both games have been blowouts (last year the 49ers lost 42-13).2. San Francisco has no running game. The 49ers have had a stout run game for several years but this year it is terrible. The 49ers only had 100 yards rushing against the Seahawks and last week only had 90 yards in a win over Green Bay. The 49ers are not going to win a lot of games this year unless they get the run game going. Running back Frank Gore has 60 yards on 30 carries for a miserable average of 2 yards per carry and the team is only averaging 95 yards rushing per game.3. San Francisco fans really are whiners. Instead of just accepting this loss and giving their opponent congratulations, the 49ers' fans can't accept reality. The excuses for this loss have been laughable. From Seattle only won the game because it was at home to the rain and weather delay, the 49ers' fan base has come up with every excuse in the book. Your team got whipped, accept it. Maybe next time. The Seattle Seahawks flat out beat up the 49ers on Sunday night. The 49ers need to regroup, find a running game, get Kaepernick's ego re-inflated and move on. And the fans need to stop the excuses and whining.
