The San Francisco 49ers have now won two straight after they beat the Houston Texans 34-3 in a game where the Niner defense dominated.   Termaine Brock’s interception return for touchdown early in the first quarter set the tone as the Houston offense was completely shut down and ended the night committing four turnovers three of which where Shaub’s interceptions. The 49ers have now outscored their past two opponents 69-14 in games where Colin Kaepernick has completed a total of 21 passes.  Against the Texans Kaepernick only had six completions (including a 64 yard touchdown pass to Vernon Davis) but as it turned out, they didn’t need him to have a huge game.   Navarro Bowman said after the game that the team has been working on getting back to basics and as ridiculous as it might sound, the 49ers played liked the other great niner teams of last year and of two years ago. During the recent two game loosing streak the 49ers had Kaepernick throwing the ball an awful and because of their wide receiver injuries, it turned out that it was not the correct game plan.  The receivers just could not beat man to man coverage and with eight guys stacked on the box, it was difficult for Kaepernick to make and even extend plays.  These past two blowout wins have  featured a 49er offense that has stuck to the run and a 49er defense that has gotten of the field on third down and created turnovers. So do these two wins suddenly mean that the 49ers are back?  Nope it doesn’t.  San Francisco has played better of late but they also played against the Rams and a Houston team that seems to be imploding after each week.  To get a better gauge of what this team can achieve, all of the contributing parts have to be in play.  That means Crabtree and Manningham in the passing game and Willis and Aldon Smith back at linebacker.  As of right now, the coaching staff is doing an excellent job adjusting the hand the team is being dealt with at the moment  but when all is set and done Colin Kaepernick has be a force in order for the 49ers to win the whole thing.
