The Vikings have one win. That would be great if the season was only a week old. But unless your memory is as unreliable as the Vikings' secondary, you know they have played seven games and have just that one win and six losses.
If you do the math, you'll realize the Vikings would have to win eight of their final nine games to finish with a winning record. Chaz Bono has a better chance to win the swimsuit competition at the Miss USA pageant than the Vikings do of going 8-1.
It has been a troubling season.
This week has been particularly troubling and not because the loss to the Packers left a longer lasting sting than the other losses.
The Vikings released Bernard Berrian on Tuesday. Berrian, a wide receiver with one of the widest gaps between talent and arrogance in sports history, behaved like a guy who wanted to be gone.
Also gone is 20,000 from Brian Robison's pocket. He was fined for kicking a Packers lineman in the groin during Sunday's game.
