Santonio Holmes hasn’t played for the Jets since injuring his foot in Week 4, but that doesn’t mean he can’t gloat after the team’s wins. Holmes specifically took a jab at current Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer on Twitter after the Jets’ 27-13 win over St. Louis on Sunday. Good job today #NYJETS for beating up on Shotty n the #RAMS — Santonio Holmes (@santonio10) November 18, 2012 Holmes and Schottenheimer clashed during Brian’s stint as the Jets’ offensive coordinator. Holmes criticized Schottenheimer’s playcalling, while Schottenheimer is the coach who benched Holmes during the Jets’ Week 17 loss to the Dolphins last season. There’s no doubt Holmes loved getting revenge. Schottenheimer was also pretty fired up for the game as well; the New York Daily News reports that he pumped his fist and looked across the field after the Rams scored a touchdown on their opening drive. He must feel pretty silly for that now.

Definitive gallery of the NFL's greatest bro, Joe Namath

The NFL would be exponentially better from a media and soundbite standpoint if every team had its own Joe Namath. The legendary New York Jets and Los Angeles Rams quarterback is one of the true bright spots of the media circus that surrounds the team that plays in MetLife Stadium and doesn’t win Super Bowls, and I’m sure many Jets fans would disagree with that assessment, but...

Tim Tebow Sent Bouquet of Balloons Saying ‘You’re Special’ By Anonymous Fan (Photo)

Sometimes, we all just need a little pick-me-up at the office. Just something to know people care. Well, Tim Tebow got exactly that on Tuesday, as an “anonymous fan” sent him a bouquet of balloons bearing the phrase “You’re special” on them, according to the New York Post’s Bart Hubbuch. After Tebow’s previous week, in which he was bashed by anonymous teammates, it’s...

Game Recap: JETS 27 - RAMS 13

Jets keep postseason chances alive with win in St. Louis. After coming off their Bye week and losing big in Seattle, the Jets season seemed to been in a tailspin.  With two blowout losses in three weeks (MIA, BYE, SEA) and an article released that supposedly shed some light on a divided locker room, the Jets found an escape at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis."Our guys have...

Bart Scott failed to lead a media boycott and the Jets get even more absurd

The New York Jets actually won a game on Sunday.  (Yay!)  But of course, we can't go a week in the saga of the 2012 New York Jets without the biggest controversy and news story of the NFL season, win or lose.  The Jets are basically that one person in your life who can never be happy and depends on drama to surivive like it's oxygen.  You know those people.  You probably...

No Huddle – Crucial Win In St. Louis Edition

4-6 is not the type of record to go celebrating in the Meatpacking District over. The way New York athletes often do after big victories. Ending a three game skid and moving beyond a “Terrible Tim” storm that threatened to derail focus on the Rams is. The Jets win over St Louis has seemingly calmed the Florham Park madness down for the time being but more importantly, has moved...

Turn On The Jets Stock Watch – Jets/Patriots Preview Edition

It’s a bit of a shame that the Jets play on a short week against the Pats this week because I would like to savor that curb-stomping Rex Ryan and his defense handed to former Jets coordinator Brian Schottenheimer’s current St. Louis Rams offense just a little bit longer. After all, we haven’t had all that much to be pleased with this year, right? It sure was sweet to be on...

Tebometer rises… but should it?

In the New York Jets 27-13 victory over St. Louis on Sunday, Tim Tebow completed his one and only pass (although calling it a pass is a bit misleading, it was really just a forwarded lateral).   Amazingly Tebow has now put up a 100% completion rate in each of the last 3 games he has thrown the ball. However, his “pass” against the Rams netted the Jets -1 yard, so in reality...

Media Slut Woody Johnson the Reason Jets are Playing on Thanksgiving

Charles Carton pointed out on this morning's Boomer & Carton program that NY Jets owner Woody Johnson asked the NFL to have his team play on Thanksgiving. Owner Woody Johnson actually requested... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Antonio Cromartie is doing his best not be an a$%hole

NewsDay:And all that trash talk Cromartie has been known to dabble in? He keeps it on the field, not in the locker room. His original rant at Brady stemmed from an incident during the Patriots' 45-3 win over the Jets on Dec. 6, 2010, at Gillette Stadium. Cromartie thought Brady taunted to the Jets after throwing a TD pass, and the cornerback was furious."[Brady] has a lot...

Tim Tebow receives balloons from random fan (Picture)

As we are only one day away from Thanksgiving, this story about New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow is a rather-heartwarming one. According to Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post, some random fan (or kissing-up teammate) sent Tebow the below bouquet of balloons back on Tuesday: We'll keep you updated if we find out anymore news.... Bart Scott leads ‘media mutiny’ following Jets win

After a tumultuous week filled with antonymous quotes and an alleged in-house divide, the Jets answered the bell in St. Louis, snapping a three-game losing streak with a 27-13 victory over the Rams. But it wasn't enough for Bart Scott, who failed to let Gang Green escape the Gateway City without an extra dash of drama. Following the Jets win, the always outspoken linebacker...

AFC East: Mark Sanchez And The Jets Look To Ambush The Patriots

The Jets look to keep their playoff hopes alive with an upset over the Patriots. Miami hosts the Seahawks, while the Bills try to corral Andrew Luck.

A Recent History Of New York Jets Ruining Holidays

Being a New York Jets fan certainly isn’t the easiest thing in the world. Generally, it provides a consistent cycle of inevitable let-downs and heartbreak. What has been interesting is that the Jets have found a way to impact numerous holidays in recent years. So much so, that in my 25 years on this planet very few holidays have passed without me having a distinct Jets memory related...

Rex Ryan defends Bill Belichick... wait, what?!

The New York papers might want to make fun of Bill Belichick but Rex Ryan is having none of that. With his team trailing the Patriots in the division by essentially four games (Pats hold tie-breaker) he's not in a position to trash talk. In fact he went the opposite direction and went to bat for Belichick in the face of his criticism for leaving Gronkowski in for the extra point...
