On the 8th day of the 8th month at 8am ET, a new era potentially began for the New York Jets, as Mark Sanchez was promoted to work with the first unit, following his solid display in Thursday evening’s scrimmage. Whether this is a permanent or temporary move remains to be seen, but the early results have (apparently) been very interesting.
- Sanchez hits Cotchery for a 38 yard TD pass on his first throw in drills
- In 11-v-11 action, Clemens threw an interception to Donald Strickland, whereas Sanchez led an impressive drive, connecting three times with Stuckey, including a 25 yard TD
- With the session winding down, Sanchez did have a fourth down pass picked off by Darrelle Revis.
There’s still a long way to go and the question of who will start for this team is still up in the air. However…
According to the Magic 8 Ball, all signs point to Sanchez…
