Scott Hanson is a man that has reached legendary status over the years with his remarkable coverage of NFL football on NFL RedZone. Simply put, the man is perfect at his job. He feeds fans just the right amount of info, along with a touch of humor here and there, to make Sundays downright incredible for the NFL viewing public. There are few people in broadcast television that are as good at their job as Hanson is. And he brings the same juice week after week for the entire season. Recently Hanson announced on his Twitter page that he’ll be back in the studio for “Back Together Weekend”. It will be 5 hours of commercial free football with the RedZone crew bouncing from camp to camp on NFL+. The coverage begins at 9 AM EST.

Check out the announcement here.

Anytime NFL fans get more of Scott Hanson it’s always a good thing. It’ll be tough envisioning how that will work and still be entertaining for fans. RedZone is built around in-game action.

With fall camp, sometimes there isn’t much action going on from camp to camp. Regardless, it should be nice to hear Hanson funnel us news updates and other updates from across the league. Hanson recently hinted at the possibility of RedZone in training camp and it looks like NFL fans’ dreams will come true.

Joe Burrow suffers injury during NFL training camp

If a RedZone for NFL training camp did exist, it probably would have captured a scary moment involving Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow on Thursday.

After a few moments of heart-in-throat horror as Burrow sat on the practice field turf and waited to be carted off during Bengals training camp on Thursday, it was good news from the team. Burrow merely has a calf strain and didn’t suffer a catastrophic injury, ESPN’s Dianna Russini confirmed.

Shortly after Burrow came up gimpy during a play and couldn’t put weight on his right leg, the worst was assumed. However, the quick diagnosis was a strained calf and not something more serious, like a ruptured Achilles tendon.

After practice, head coach Zac Taylor shared that they suspected it was a muscle strain and not more serious damage.

A timeline for Burrow’s return is unclear, but he is likely going to be sidelined for the remainder of training camp and the preseason.

Regardless, though, dodging a season-ending injury makes missing a few preseason and perhaps a couple regular season games, pale in comparison.

It’ll be interesting to see if RedZone continues to cover training camps, or if this year’s version is just a one-time thing.
