If Taylor Mays declares for the draft, there will be a lot of people wanting the Seahawks to draft him with their No. 4 pick. Brian Russell was arguably the worst player on the entire Seahawks' defense throughout the past NFL season.

One thing is for sure, Taylor Mays is one of the biggest hitters in College Football and may be the best tackler in the whole country. If you are an opposing receiver, you will get laid out if you are coming down the middle. There is some concern that he doesn't wrap up well. There is also some concern that his hits could cause injuries to other players, but also himself.

Besides his obvious knock-out ability, Mays has also played a significant role in USC's defense by preventing the long pass from burning the USC defense. He has been exceptional at knocking down passes and reading opposing quarterbacks. With a 6' 3", 230lb frame, Mays is a freak of nature at the safety position. He can also run a 4.28 40time.

Unreal.

NFL players are fast and athletic, but to be as enormous as Mays is at the safety position along with his speed, he is a prime-time prospect. USC coaches believe he is mentally ready for the NFL already. It's known that he is a film rat and is obsessed with getting better. This insatiable desire to get better is harder to find among players now days. I'd be surprised if he stayed at USC, I think there is a 9/10 chance he declares for the draft.

Are you sold on Taylor Mays if he declares? Should the Seahawks consider him with their No. 4 pick?
