Hog Heaven approached Andrew Strickert, our MVN colleague who covers the Tennessee Titans for his thoughts on running back Chris Henry who worked out for the Redskins Monday. This is Andrew's guest post. Did you ever see a guy who didn't look like much of a football player until he put the pads on and got on the field? Then there's the converse, a guy who looks great until he puts on the pads and doesn't produce. That's Chris Henry. Henry had an unspectacular collegiate career but had a good Indy combine, where he impressed former Titans running backs coach Sherman Smith, now the Redskins' offensive coordinator. The Titans then selected Henry in the second round of the 2007 draft, based on Smith's recommendation, a move they came to regret. Because of his mediocre NCAA stats, coupled with his impressive combine, Henry was quickly labeled a "workout warrior" and he did little since then to dispel that.
