Every talking head on NFL Network's pre-game show picked Philadelphia to defeat the Seahawks tonight, obviously still high on "Dream Team" fumes and ignorant of the progress made by the league's youngest starting line-up in recent weeks. If they had been paying attention, they would have seen that aside from a youth-induced spasm of 3rd-down breakdowns in the 4th quarter last week, these Seahawks have been crafting an identity as a physical, hard-hitting, punch-you-in-the-******'-mouth crew. Marshawn Lynch's electrifying, punishing 1st-quarter touchdown set the tone- We were going to maul Philly, and they were going to crumble. Lynch gobbled up 148 yards and a ****-ton of Skittles in his best performance of the season so far. Tarvaris Jackson held onto the ball a bit too long a few times, but he avoided turnovers and posted a QB rating of 137.0! Golden Tate hauled in a spectacular touchdown catch and continued the positive development we've seen lately-...

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch continues torrid pace in win over Eagles

The Seattle Seahawks delivered another blow to the reeling Philadelphia Eagles with a 31-14 defeat while RB Marshawn Lynch continued his torrid pace in the victory. The Seattle Seahawks intercepted Philadelphia Eagles QB Vince Young four times, returning the last one for an interception on their way to winning their third game in four tries last night. Seattle RB Marshawn Lynch has...

NFL Network Took A Few (Unnecessary) Shots At DeSean Jackson

We have had our fair share of anger towards DeSean Jackson, but last night the NFL Network took things too far. They portrayed DeSean Jackson as ignoring Vince Young on the sidelines, when it was pretty clear that Young was talking to Riley Cooper. Here is video of the incident, courtesy of Black Sports Online.   Our friends over at Crossing Broad captured the audio...

Marshawn Lynch Going Beast Mode On Skittles–Gets Free Candy

If you missed Thursday night’s Seahawks/Eagles game, I don’t blame you. But you did miss my man Marshawn Lynch go BEAST MODE on that garbage wide-9 defense the Eagles attempt to run. Marshawn was good for 148 yards rushing, 2 touchdowns and was the main reason (besides Eagles QB Vince Young) the Hawks’ beat up on the Eagles, 34-14. But during the game, after one...

Marshawn Lynch: Pavlovian Skittle Beast

“TASTE THE RAIN MOE! GIMME ALL DAT BAG! GONE SKIT SKIT SKIT SKIT SKIT SKIT” In conclusion, if you reward your child with candy for every positive deed, they’ll either grow up to be a mentally warped fatty with a skewed set of extrinsic motivations or a borderline deranged NFL running back. I’ll take those odds. [via]

Vince Young throws 4 INTs in Eagles loss

Misery continues for the Philadelphia Eagles as they log another loss

The misery of the 2011 season continued last night for the Philadelphia Eagles as they suffered another loss, this time at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks. Philadelphia has now suffered defeat in four of their last five games and last night’s performance in prime time border lined on embarrassment. QB Vince Young threw four interceptions, one on the first play of the game...

Young earns starting nod in Week 13

Fantasy Fever is a weekly piece that provides fantasy advice on lineup calls, sleepers, waiver-wire moves and rookie spotlights, along with the occasional ramble or four. Enjoy. Start 'Em QB: Vince Young, Eagles True, a majority of his massive yardage accumulation against the Patriots (400 yards passing, 40 rushing) stemmed from garbage time, yet they count toward fantasy...

Marshawn Lynch’s blow-away run, seen through many eyes

SEATTLE, Wash. -- In a game where the Seattle Seahawks beat the tar out of the Philadelphia Eagles to the tune of a 31-14 score and ran for 178 yards on 33 carries in the process, Marshawn Lynch's 15-yard touchdown run with 9:19 remaining in the first quarter may have been the definitive play. It typified the way Lynch has been running over the last month — as physically as...

Lynch rewarded by Skittles for following the rainbow

Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch rocked the Eagles on Thursday night and generated some laughs by snacking on Skittles following his first-quarter touchdown burst. Now the candy makers are taking pains to ensure he never runs out.

Lynch guides Seahawks past error-prone Eagles

Marshawn Lynch ran for 148 yards and a pair of first-half touchdowns as the Seattle Seahawks beat the Philadelphia Eagles 31-14 on Thursday night.

Seahawks – Eagles Preview

Frustrating to watch.  Periodically brilliant (especially against the Giants).  Terribly injured.  We’re talking about the Seahawks… AND the Eagles.  The Eagles had their sights set on the Super Bowl this year after several high-caliber free agent signings.  Newly-acquired quarterback Vince Young even dubbed Philadelphia “the dream team” in an over-cited quote because...

Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 13 Predictions

Dave B. is back and better than ever with his Week 13 NFL fantasy football forecast for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Seattle Seahawks matchup. Ben Obomanu could be in line for a breakout game. Marshawn Lynch will do what he does. Sidney Rice was put on IR today. Mike Williams is questionable to play but I am projecting like he will start. Get our Seahawks fantasy expert predictions every week…

Final: Hawks 31, Eagles 14

The Seattle Seahawks rebounded nicely from a tough loss against Washington last week by defeating a talented, but wounded Philadelphia Eagles’ squad 31-14. Seattle was solid in all three phases of the game, but this one belonged to Marshawn Lynch, who finished with a season-high 148 rushing yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns. Lynch ran over, around and through Philadelphia...

Beast Mode Is Back

In a touchdown run that drew immediate comparisons to his score on the New Orleans Saints in last year's playoffs, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch found the goal line using pure tenacity and forced NFL Network broadcaster Brad Nessler to eat his "he'll get nothing" words. It drew first blood for Seattle and made a game thusfar terrible slightly less so. [NFL...
