TEAMS: Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks
For grizzled veterans of the Twelve Army, the ugly first half today in Chicago followed a very familiar, very cliched script: In an important late-season road game, the Seahawks were making big mistakes, making an opposing "just a guy" QB look like a Pro Bowler, and ******** away an opportunity to "level up." Of course I thought we were still in the game, but what came next even shocked me, the King of Wishful Thinking...In the 2nd half we came out and BEAT THE ******* **** out of the Chicago Bears. 31-0 doesn't even fully express how completely Seattle dominated the last 30 minutes of today's game- The Hawks marched downfield and shoved the tying TD down the Bears' throats on their opening possession, then followed up with a perfectly timed blitz that forced Caleb Hanie to throw a giftwrapped pick-six to Big Red Bryant. After that, Hanie evidently remembered that he sucked- His facade of 1st-half competence completely evaporated after that play. Tarv...

The Chicago Bears…
Caleb Hanie is a disaster. The defense stopped playing. This team got old in a hurry. It’s time to recognize that this team needs to be blown up and rebuilt. And there needs to be a general manager in here that understands how to build a winner.
I’m not going the Jay Cutler and Matt Forte excuse route. It’s a total BS. This team has stupid players that are poorly...
Smith noncommittal on Hanie as starting QB vs. Packers
Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith was noncommittal Monday when asked whether Caleb Hanie will remain his starting quarterback on Sunday against Green Bay.
Johnny Knox Gets Rocked
At first it was a play like nearly any other, Chicago Bears receiver Johnny Knox received a pass from Caleb Hanie (actually, that Hanie got a completion off IS kinda extraordinary) but Knox received a quick pop that jarred the ball loose from his hands. Frantically diving after the fumble, Knox had the unfortunate luck to almost reach the ball at the same time as the Seattle Seahawks...

Forget this season, Bears have big issues to sort out in 2012
Whether it’s Rex Grossman for Kyle Orton or Craig Krenzel for Jonathan Quinn, a new starting quarterback usually elicits an automatic wave of enthusiasm and hope among Bears fans. But the likelihood that Josh McCown will replace Caleb Hanie for the game against the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday night is unlikely to snap anyone out of the dreadful funk surrounding this year’s...
