RENTON -- Wide receiver Ben Obomanu suffered a sprained knee during Saturday's game against San Francisco, and running back Marshawn Lynch had a sore ankle, according to coach Pete Carroll. The status for both won't be known until later this week, though. Seattle's coach held a press conference Monday, and indicated that the availability of Lynch and Obomanu won't be known until later this week.It appeared Obomanu suffered the injury in the fourth quarter after he was tackled following a 14-yard reception. Lynch came back to the sideline limping after his 4-yard touchdown run later in the fourth quarter.

Forget Lynch and think about why Jackson isn’t in the Pro Bowl

While many Seahawk fans waste time lamenting the omission (for now) of Marshawn Lynch from the pointless Pro Bowl, we’d rather rue the fact that Tarvaris Jackson is not a Pro Bowl quarterback. We don’t mean that he deserved to be and simply is not; we mean that he is not and never will be. Jackson’s failure against the 49ers last weekend sticks out more than anything from that...

Nike makes Skittles shoes for Marshawn Lynch

If you notice Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch's shoes seem especially colorful from now on, that might be because he's wearing Skittles on his feet. Lynch's Skittles habit (a handful after every touchdown) is well known to football fans, and now Nike is getting some publicity by designing a pair of shoes featuring the fruit-flavored candy -- made special just for...

Marshawn Lynch has ended the San Francisco 49ers' 15-game streak without allowing a rushing touchdown. Lynch's scoring run has given the Seahawks a 17-16 lead with 6:41 remaining in the fourth quarter. I’m Loving the Skittle Nike’s Marshawn Lynch Rocked Last Weekend

I’m not going to lie, Nike did it again. That’s some pretty sweet stuff right there. Marshawn Lynch has created a monster with this Skittles thing. I really hope this doesn’t start a trend of athletes popping candy on the sidelines trying to get seen. We really don’t need to see Cam Newton eating Nerds on the sidelines. Let’s just leave it with Marshawn...

Seattle's playoff hopes end with loss to 49ers

Marshawn Lynch got his 100 yards. He scored the first touchdown rushing this season against San Francisco, and with it came another shower of Skittles that required industrial blowers to clear the end zone of debris.

5 Reasons the Seahawks Lost a heartbreaker to the 49ers

Jason Green weighs in with five reasons the Seattle Seahawks managed to find a way to come up just short vs the 49ers on Christmas Eve. A 19-17 loss to the 49ers was a tough and bitter pill to swallow. As Detroit defeated San Diego as well on Saturday all but slamming the door on the Seahawks 2011/12 playoff chances. Marshawn Lynch, Frank Gore and rookie RB Kendall Hunter all had...

Week 16 - Seahawks Lose (R-Rated Thread)

With the loss to San Francisco, the Seahawks are now officially eliminated from the playoffs. Even so, the 11-3 division champion 49ers had to fight all the way down to the end to seal their victory, and that was against a Seattle team missing three starting offensive linemen and both starting wide receivers. It may have taken half the season to get there, but Pete Carroll has finally...
