TEAMS: New York Jets
New York Jets' Tim Tebow experiment a failure? Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll thinks so. Carroll believes the Jets' two-quarterback system is extremely "disruptive" to Mark Sanchez. "I think he's in a very difficult situation," Carroll said. "The whole emphasis of the two quarterback thing is really hard. You saw it yesterday. It didn't get much for them. It's got to be a little bit disruptive. I feel for him." Looking at the numbers, Sanchez has improved each season with the Jets, increasing his QB Rating from 63.0 his rookie season to 78.2 last season, however, his rating slipped to 70.4 with the arrival of Tim Tebow. I know Sanchez's numbers aren't great considering what Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III are doing in their rookie seasons. But Sanchez was a serviceable quarterback in a Jets' run-first offense. Is Tebow putting more pressure on the young quarterback? Possibly.   Can Rex Ryan figure out the problem he caused before he gets booted out of New York? Source: NY Post

Dowtin was recently promoted to the active roster and has the versatility to play a number of roles in Rex Ryan’s defense, hence earning the nickname: The Hybrid. Dowtin also stepped up recently by offering support for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Make sure you...

Antonio Cromartie: Kiss my butt, Sanchez is our quarterback

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has one supporter in the locker room, cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who says Sanchez is the Jets only quarterback. “They can kiss my butt, Mark is our quarterback. At the end of the day, we could give a damn what anybody on the outside has to say." Cromartie said to the New York Post following the Jets 28-7 loss to Seattle. "Mark...

New York Jets – Thoughts On Kahlil Bell and Aaron Maybin

A few quick thoughts on the New York Jets decision to sign running back Kahlil Bell and release outside linebacker Aaron Maybin, only because it is a rarity when GM Mike Tannenbaum makes two smart decisions in one day - 1. If given the proper opportunity, Kahlil Bell is going to be a strong addition to this roster. He is an immediate upgrade over Bilal Powell and Joe McKnight. He...

Who is to blame for the New York Jets turmoil?

Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks put the final nail in the coffin for the New York Jets 2012 season. The Jets are much closer to earning the No. 1 draft pick than they are to earning a spot in the playoffs. This is very far to fall for a team that was one game away from the Super Bowl just two seasons ago. There are plenty of theories about who is the root of this fiasco....

Joe Namath goes Twitter crazy for Tim Tebow

Former New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath has been a vocal critic about the team's decision to bring Tim Tebow in, but it appears that, after their latest brutal loss to the Seattle Seahawks, he may be softening his stance. Rex Ryan Reportedly Cried in Front of Jets Players Following Team’s Loss to Seahawks

The Jets continue to reinvent rock bottom every week, and it certainly seems to be taking quite the toll on head coach Rex Ryan. ESPN.com reports that Ryan actually broke down in tears following his team’s 28-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, at least according to some of his players. “In his postgame address to the team,” ESPN.com’s Rich Cimini writes, “Ryan got...

Antonio Cromartie supports Mark Sanchez as Jets QB, tells critics to kiss his butt

The debate still rages. No not the one for the White House, that one actually had a date where a decision was made. The New York Jets continue the saga of the quarterback position on a weekly basis. Now 3-6 the Jets season is in complete shambles yet players and coaches still rally around Mark Sanchez as the teams quarterback. Antonio Cromartie was the latest to lash out at those...

Jets Will Stick By Wildcat, Rex Ryan Says

A tired-looking Rex Ryan returned from Seattle after what he described as a “long night” following the Jets 28-7 loss to the Seahawks Sunday. But even in his fatigue, Ryan stressed essentially what he had last night: the quarterback situation, and the wildcat situation, will not change as a result of the demoralizing loss in Seattle. Asked if it is time to give up on the wildcat...

Rex Ryan Stands Behind Jets QB Mark Sanchez After Latest Loss

The New York Jets' 28-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday illustrated all the problems that have sent this team disappearing into the darkness. As always, the focus is on Mark Sanchez, who was dreadful again. On his 26th birthday, the fourth-year quarterback completed just nine of 22 passes for 124 yards. It's the fourth time in nine games Sanchez has thrown for less...

Jets LB Aaron Maybin, RB Joe McKnight Inactive For Week 10

The Jets left struggling pass rusher Aaron Maybin inactive for today's game and replaced him on the game day roster with linebacker Ricky Sapp. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine hinted toward the move on Thursday when he said the recently-promoted Sapp had essentially the same role as Maybin. On the plus side for the Jets linebacking corps, Bart Scott (toe) will be active...

Week 10 NFL Recap: New York Jets at Seattle Seahawks

The Jets are a waste of time. The fact that they are paid to be a team compiled of players who are supposed to provide entertainment and win games is a direct affront to capitalism, which in turn is a direct affront to America and Jesus. The Jets are attrocious. Horrific is too nice of a word to describe the level of malaise in which they play. There are teams with worse records...

Seahawks crush Jets 28-7

The Seattle Seahawks (6-4) beat the New York Jets (3-6) 28-7, this past Sunday at CentruyLink Field from Seattle, WA. As soon as the Jets told media before this game saying they were going to make the playoffs, but that likely won't happen now as they got crushed by Seattle. It's time for Rex Ryan to pull Mark Sanchez from the starting QB position, although it is unlikely...

The Seattle Seahawks Are The Team The New York Jets Hoped To Be This Season

The Seahawks easily defeated the Jets 28-7 yesterday and Rex Ryan must be envious of how Seattle wins games.  The Hawks are using a strong running game, defense and timely passing to be in the hunt for a playoff spot.  This is the same formula the Jets used in 2009 and 2010 to reach the AFC Championship game.  However, things have gone awry for New York thanks to very...
