49ers coach Jim Harbaugh was upset about the physical coverage of Seahawks corners Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner in his team's 13-6 win over Seattle.
Harbaugh vocally questioned why Seattle's secondary wasn't flagged repeatedly and promised "take that up with the" league office.
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll doesn't believe they'll come up with much.
"I don't think a guy should be able to speak out and go ahead and cause an investigation," he told ESPN Seattle on Monday. "That's too easy. I don't think that's going to happen.
"... Wasn't it just a couple week ago, when (the 49ers) were talking about not doing things like that, with the Giants or Kevin Gilbride or something like that," Carroll said. "I thought there was something about that, where we don't go out and express our concerns at all."
Niners quarterback Alex Smith argued after the game that Sherman and Browner should have drawn multiple illegal contact penalties. Smith's receivers -- Kyle Williams, Michael Crabtree and Randy Moss -- didn't make much noise in the game.
"I think that this was a very normal game ... in terms of how we played," Carroll said. "I'm surprised that (Harbaugh) felt like the receivers were so overwhelmed. I thought our guys did a good job. There's always going to be some calls that you can look at, but our guys played good, solid, hard football. Vernon Davis didn't get the ball and their receivers didn't do much, and Randy (Moss) got one, so I'm sure there's a little frustration there.
"If the officials look at it, they won't have anything to even look at, and I don't even think they need to. It's a regular game." Source: NFL.com Attached Thumbnails

Pete Carroll calls out Jim Harbaugh

Pete Carroll Fires Back at Jim Harbaugh Over Hypocritical Statements About NFL Officiating
The Pete Carroll-Jim Harbaugh rivalry has thankfully continued into the NFL.
Carroll had criticism over Harbaugh's recent complaints that the Seahawks' defensive backs were getting away with too-physical play down the field, implying that it contradicted Harbaugh's accusation that Giants' offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride was trying to influence...
Mid-Season look at NFL Playoffs
The 2012 NFL Season is reaching the midway point of the season and the NFL Playoffs are beginning to take shape. This is the time when we begin looking at the bigger picture of things in terms of wins and losses. Every week wins and losses are important but many seem to think wins and losses aren’t as important in the beginning of the season since teams can recover.Yet, looking...

Jim Harbaugh Not Happy with the Play of Seahawks Cornerbacks
Brian Bahr/Getty Images
The Seattle Seahawks probably have the biggest cornerbacks tandem in the league. They are led by Richard Sherman, who is 6-3 and 195 pounds. On the other side of the field is Brandon Browner, who is listed at 6-4 and 221 pounds.
That’s crazy to see and that’s what led to some of the team’s big success over some of the best passing offenses in the...
Pete Carroll responds to Jim Harbaugh's complaints to NFL
ollowing the 49ers' 13-6 win over NFC West rival Seattle on Thursday, Jim Harbaugh was not happy about the aggressiveness of the Seahawks' coverage in the secondary. He went as far as to complain to the NFL about it. Harbaugh claimed cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner were maybe a little too physical with his wide receivers. Sherman actually played for Harbaugh...
49ers RB LaMichael James Denies Being Frustrated With Being Deactivated Each Week
LaMichael James today said that being a 49ers running back this season has been like a freshman who joins a college program packed with quality upperclassmen.
"Frank Gore is one of the best running backs out there," said James, the 49ers' second-round pick this year. "Then you have Brandon (Jacobs), then you have Kendall (Hunter). Everybody's really good...
Seahawks CB Walter Thurmond, OG John Moffitt Return To Practice
The Seahawks' opponent this week, Detroit, is about to kick off its Week 7 game, but the Seahawks are already off the practice field having begun preparation for Sunday's game in Detroit.
Among those joining the team on the field for the first time in a while were cornerback Walter Thurmond, who has been out all season while recovering from a leg injury, and guard John...
*My two cents* The Seahawks need to trade for Dwayne Bowe
Pull The Trigger!
Headline: The solution is a QB change; the compromise is the Chiefs WR making Seattle’s offense better.
The Seattle Seahawks need to do something for their defense, a defense that is the best in the NFL and could win a Super Bowl if given the opportunity.
Since no one in management or on the coaching staff is willing to change their minds (a stubborn bunch),...
Q will pub Five Seahawks who put the Special in Special Teams
Always a Bright Spot
On days when the Seattle Seahawks‘ defense can’t even hold on (granted they are on the field for the majority of the game) and the offense is… well, being the Seahawks offense, the Special Teams unit helps out both units.
Be it by giving the opposing offense awful starting field position, or Leon Washington electrifying the game with a stunning return...
Seahawks being Physical
Those of us that have been watching the Seahawks play the last year have figured out that our defense is physical and stout. Pete Carroll has brought in big playmakers that fly to the ball. The smallest guy on the defense is one of the biggest playmakers, and is by no means small.
Brandon Browner(6’4″ 221 lbs) and Richard Sherman(6’3″ 195 lbs) are the two corners on...

Seahawks: Missed it by ‘THAT’ much!
Seahawks, out of town, just like me.
The Seahawks played the 49ers at Candlestick Park in San Francisco last Thursday (October 18th) in a game that could have vaulted Seattle into first place in the NFC West. I was in Los Angeles visiting a friend. I told him I write a blog for the Seahawks and have to watch the game. Due to his busy work/travel schedule, my friend doesn’t often...
Frank Gore Expects To Be Fine
San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore (ribs) said he "did everything" in practice Monday and thinks he'll be fine for next Monday's game, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.Fantasy Spin:Gore came out late in San Francisco's victory over Seattle last Thursday due to a rib injury. With 11 days in between games, he should be fine for Week 8.
A Tale of Two Halves
Last Thursday’s road game against the 49ers was supremely frustrating to watch. The Seahawks looked awful, and that’s led to a lot of fans voicing opinions of the “fire coach X and/or bench player Y” variety. That’s understandable, but I think it’s premature to be calling for changes that drastic. Right now, the Seahawks are 3-0 at home and 1-3 on the road, with...
