A Bodog review of Seattle’s offseason would point to their quarterback battle as the focus of this period, but there are a few other developments that you should have an eye on before you consult the Seahawks’ NFL betting odds for the upcoming season.

There are conflicting reports about who is leading the race to win the starter’s role in Seattle, although most think that Matt Flynn has to be the No.1 guy after the Seahawks paid so much to bring him in and chances are, most that buy bookie software (read more about the best bookie software here) would agree with that. The latest report is that Flynn is the frontrunner for the role over Tarvaris Jackson, who has a monster of an arm and fantastic size for a quarterback, but Flynn, while much smaller, is more accurate and his timing is better. Also, Jackson’s decision-making has left a lot to be desired, and that is an understatement. Flynn hasn’t seen a lot of time as a starter, but you have to think that it is better than Jackson, who has looked like a deer in headlights at points in his career, while Flynn has been cool and calm under pressure for most of his appearances, although it is a different kind of pressure when you are the man and how he handles that will have a huge effect on Seattle’s online NFL betting odds in 2012.

Whoever the quarterback is, they should have a healthy and motivated Sidney Rice, although some reports say that he won’t be ready for training camp this summer because of shoulder surgery. Still, he has gone out and put on 11 pounds of muscle to try and increase his durability as Rice has been hit hard with injuries over the last two seasons. Those who bet on sports expected Rice to be a massive addition for the Seahawks, but he hasn’t been able to stay on the field; when he is healthy, Rice is a frightening mix of size and speed, and he is one of the best deep threats in the league. But staying healthy is another story.

Finally, the Seahawks are still working on a new contract with end Chris Clemons, who skipped OTAs and will probably skip training camp as well if he doesn’t receive a deal similar to the one that Miami gave Cameron Wake, who was signed for $34.5 million over five years. The Seahawks offered $18 million over three years, but Clemons isn’t budging that would leave Seattle without a player that has racked up 22 sacks in two seasons and would be a welcome boost to their online sports betting odds.
