Before Russell Wilson came out of nowhere, Matt Flynn was supposed to be the Seahawks' starting quarterback. Before the season started, however, it was Wilson, not Flynn that was named the Seahawks' starting quarterback, and it was without question the right move. Now, however, the Seahawks have a very expensive backup quarterback that could be trade ammunition in the offseason. The Seahawks realize that they're sitting on a potential starting quarterback, and they're open to a trade, per KIRO-AM in Seattle, general manager John Schneider said, "I'd be lying to you if I told you that we wouldn't be listening to people. I think we all believe he's a starter in this league, but we structure ourselves in a salary-cap manner where we're in a very good position with him. Having two quarterbacks like that is pretty special. We're going to do what's best for the organization -- period." Flynn will make $2 million in guaranteed money nex...

RG3 or Russell Wilson: The Battle For Rookie Of The Year

I can’t recall a closer battle being made for the NFL Rookie of the Year award. It almost seems unfair for one player to win and the other not to, but so is the nature of the league, only one can be the champion. Both Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson had marvelous rookie campaigns this season, and both equally deserve winning the prestigious award. Who deserves it more, and...

What’s next for Seattle’s heart-attack Hawks?

Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks followed their come-from-behind win against the Washington Redskins in dramatically painful fashion. Against the Atlanta Falcons, they dug a 20-0 hole in the first half, but clawed back to take a 28-27 lead with a half-minute left. Or did they?
