Terrell Owens has been cut by the Seattle Seahawks, he tweeted this afternoon.
The writing has been on the wall for the past week, with Braylon Edwards impressing and Sidney Rice seemingly healthy. Rumors were that Owens may not make the team and his drop heavy performances during this preseason certainly didn't help matters.
While there is a chance that Owens could join another team, it seems unlikely at this point.

Given some of the serious financial problems Terrell Owens has faced over the last year or so, one would think he would being doing everything he can to try to make the Seahawks final roster. T.O. was lucky Pete Carroll and company invited him to camp, but to this point there has been little indication that he is making the most of his time in Seattle.

It’s become rather evident that the only reason that Terrell Owens is still desperately trying to find work as a receiver in the NFL is because he’s broke. And much to the surprise of nobody except probably Owens, the Seattle Seahawks kicked the tires on the 38-year old and found nothing but holes in his hands. That obviously sucks for Owens, because if he made the Seahawks roster...

I think after T.O. got hacked by an obsolete arena football league team we had to figure his stint with the Seahawks wasn’t going to last. It’s over bro. Get a job like the rest of us and starting paying your child support.
